Your Rangers Hose Company VOLUNTEERS are there for you 24/7/365! Without hesitation, the men and women of our company leave their families to rush and save your family and your home! Our firefighters spend countless hours practicing, training, and completing equipment checks and maintenance to ensure every piece of equipment is always ready for the next emergency. Whether it be a structure fire, a vehicle accident, a medical emergency, flooding or weather related incident , a search and rescue, a brush fire, a tree down, etc, the Rangers Hose Company will respond and remediate your problem.
Our company also is heavily involved in our community in a non-emergency standpoint as well. Every year our company sponsors the Girardville Easter Egg Hunt which is a FREE event to any child up to age 12 can attend and participate in a multitude of activities. We participate in all town parades and events including the Memorial Day parade, the Halloween parade, and the Thanksgiving Day parade where Santa comes to town. We attend touch a truck events, truck or treat, and also proudly supported the movies at the baseball field this past summer. This past June, we doubled down on our community commitment and chartered a Cub Scout Pack with 34 Scouts on the roster!
On a fire prevention side of things, we have installed smoke alarms and carbon monoxide alarms for FREE for over 25 years in our community. We are actively preaching fire safe practices which includes the use of our fire safety trailer. We are also out in our community sharing public information about fire safety in English and in Spanish to ensure EVERYONE is prepared!
When you pass by our station on Ogden Street, it’s very common to find the bay doors open and our members completing tasks around the station. Stop on in, check out the incredible equipment and apparatus we have. Ask questions, find out what it takes to not only train and respond to emergency incidents, but what it takes behind the scenes to keep our company moving forward and to be able to continue to provide those services. Most importantly, whether it be our company or any local volunteer fire company, make sure you ALWAYS support your local volunteers!
