Two of our newest posse members rode in the Waterford parade in beautiful tribute. A horse with reversed boots in the stirrups, known as a “riderless horse” or caparisoned horse, is a solemn military tradition honoring a fallen leader or soldier. The backward boots symbolize the warrior taking one final look at their troops, family, and the life they leave behind.
Thank you to our posse members, and to all the men and women of the military who made the ultimate sacrifice. We also honor the brave equine partners who served and died alongside them in battle.
