“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Do not be carried about with various and strange doctrines. For it is good that the heart be established by grace, not with foods which have not profited those who have been occupied with them.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭13‬:‭8‬-‭9‬ ‭NKJV‬

Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever. What a reassuring truth! In a world where everything seems to be changing rapidly, it's comforting to know that our Savior remains constant. His nature, character, and love for us never change. This truth should give us confidence and peace, no matter what life throws our way.

However, the passage also warns us against being carried away by various and strange doctrines. With so many voices and opinions out there, it's easy to get sidetracked and lose focus on what truly matters – our relationship with God. We need to be discerning and grounded in God's Word, ensuring that our beliefs and practices align with His truth.

The passage reminds us that it's good for our hearts to be established by grace, not by rules or rituals. Our salvation and growth in faith come from God's unmerited favor, not from our efforts to follow certain dietary laws or practices. This freedom in Christ is a liberating truth, allowing us to focus on what really matters – loving and serving God and others.
Pray with me
Heavenly Father, thank You for the reassurance that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Help me to stay grounded in Your Word and discerning in the face of false teachings. May my heart be established by Your grace, and may I live a life that reflects Your love and truth. Amen.

My heart is severely pained within me, and the terrors of death have fallen upon me. 6So I said, “Oh, that I had wings like a dove! I would fly away and be at rest.” Psalm 55:4,6 NKJV

God doesn’t want you to run away from any situation in defeat. Victory is always His plan for you.
Running away from problems and troubles is always society’s mentality: “Oh, if I could just leave this place. If I could just get in the car and go.” Looking for the easy way out of trouble and misery doesn’t work. Running from the problem that causes those feelings won’t do any good. If you avoid dealing with the issue now, it will be even more difficult to stand and face it later.
People often quit their job because of someone they work with, only to end up working with someone worse at their next place of employment. God wants you to learn to face your problems and overcome them by applying His Word. He wants you to learn to work with unpleasant co-workers by overcoming evil with good. When they blame you for something you didn’t do, bless them, and help them.
Being a doer of the Word isn’t always easy, but it always works.
Although David wanted to fly away and be at rest, he changed his speech and declared a few lines later “As for me, I will call upon God, and the LORD shall save me” (Psalm 55:16 NKJV).
God doesn’t want you to leave any situation in defeat. If it is God’s time to move you on, He won’t use negative circumstances to lead you. Instead of running from the problem, overcome it. And then move on.

Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you.”
— Isaiah 60:1 (NIV)

Every believer is called to be a living reflection of God’s glory. When His Spirit lives within us, His nature—love, power, peace, and goodness—is meant to shine through us. Manifesting His glory is not about seeking attention; it’s about revealing who He is through who we are becoming in Christ.

God’s glory is His divine nature made visible—His presence, beauty, and holiness displayed in a way that others can see or sense.
From the fire that guided Israel, to Jesus transfigured on the mountain, every encounter with glory pointed to the reality of God with us.

“The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory…”
— John 1:14

When Jesus healed, forgave, and loved, the world saw the glory of God in human form.

Now, through the Holy Spirit, we carry that same presence.

“Christ in you, the hope of glory.”
— Colossians 1:27

You don’t have to chase God’s glory—it’s already within you if Christ dwells in your heart. Our part is to yield to the Spirit daily so His nature can be seen through us. The more we walk in love, humility, faith, and obedience, the more of His glory flows outward.

Isaiah 43:7 — “Everyone who is called by My name, whom I have created for My glory, I have formed him; yes, I have made him.”

You were not created by accident. God formed you to reveal His nature and beauty on the earth. His glory isn’t something you earn—it’s something you were designed to carry.

Live today with purpose. Let your words, work, and worship reflect your Creator.

Declaration:
“I was created for God’s glory. My life reveals His goodness and purpose.”

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for creating me to reflect You. Let everything I do today bring You honor. Amen.

Then they that feared the Lord spake often one to another: and the Lord hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the Lord, and that thought upon his name.”Malachi 3:16
Have you ever noticed that those who have the most exciting, faith-inspiring testimonies are those who’ve been under pressure at some time in their lives? They’re the people who stayed faithful when the pressure was on. People who believed God’s promises of prosperity in the midst of desperate financial situations or people who trusted God for healing in the face of a terminal disease.
My friend, when you get into a hard spot, that’s not the time to back out on God and begin to say, “Well, God, why did You let this happen to me?” It’s not the time to step back and re-evaluate His faithfulness.
What I’m saying to you is this: When tough times keep dragging on and the situations around you seem to refuse to get in line with the promises of God, don’t re-evaluate God! He is not missing it, and He’s not failing.
If you’re going to re-evaluate anything, re-evaluate yourself! Look and see where you may have failed. If you still can’t find out what the problem is, just say, “God, I don’t know what’s wrong here, and I’m asking You to show me. But one thing I know, the problem’s not with You, and I continue to be moved by Your Word and not by circumstances.” Then, when He reveals something to you, be quick to make changes.
I want to encourage you to stand firm and to keep honoring God with your words. The Lord is listening to you when the pressure is on. What is He going to hear?
