🔧 Another great day of fixing in Los Gatos! 🔧

Yesterday at the Los Gatos Library, 85 guests brought us 119 items in need of repair.

Thanks to the efforts of our amazing volunteers:

✅ 71 items were fixed on the spot
🔍 18 items were diagnosed and sent home with information about the parts needed for repair

From electronics and small appliances to clothing, jewelry, bikes, and more, every repair helped keep a useful item in service and out of the landfill.

A huge thank you to our volunteer fixers, coordinators, check-in team, and everyone who brought something to repair. Special thanks to Los Gatos Library for sponsoring us! Events like these are only possible because of this incredible community.

Bring your broken items. Leave with them fixed.

What a day at the Museum of American Heritage!

Yesterday’s Repair Café brought together an incredible community effort:

• 161 visitors
• 50 volunteers
• 211 items checked in
• 113 fixed (53.6% fix rate)
• 29 diagnosed

That’s over a hundred items restored to working order—and many more given a second chance—keeping them out of the landfill.

From electronics and small appliances to textiles and bikes, our volunteer fixers worked side-by-side with attendees to troubleshoot, repair, and share skills. Events like this are about more than fixing things—they’re about building confidence, reducing waste, and strengthening community.

Thank you to everyone who participated and made the day such a success. We’re grateful to be part of a community that values repair.

Bring your broken items. Leave with them fixed.
