Gavilan College CalWORKs Program

Gavilan College CalWORKs Program Assisting families towards self sufficiency through higher education! CalWORKs is California's plan for people on public assistance.

Gavilan College is a partner in this program, which assists CalWORKs participants at the community college while they prepare for employment. The college provides education, employment training, work-study and support including child care and transportation assistance. The goal of the program is for students to increase their wage earning power and to become economically self-sufficient. A counsel

or/advisor is available to work with the student to develop an educational and employment plan that addresses immediate as well as long term goals.

CalWORKs Book Vouchers will be available starting Wednesday, August 14, 2013 for returning students in good standing! New students will be eligible for a book voucher after orientation on Friday, August 16, 2013!

HAVE YOU PAID FOR YOUR SPRING 2012 FEES YET? Tomorrow Wed. Dec. 14th at 2pm is the deadline to pay for your classes. Any student with a balance due will be dropped from ALL Spring classes at that time. You can pay online or in person at any of the Gavilan College sites.
