We’re Giving Back. Again!

The Rotary Club of Gilroy is excited to announce our 2025-2026 Community Grants Program with over $53,000 available this cycle!

Since 1991, we’ve proudly awarded $1.2 million to fund critical unmet needs in our community.

Thank you Gilroy Unified School District
for your support and partnership on this project.  it was truly an honor to be able to create so many memories with you all. Thank you again for all you do for our community. 📚🌳🌍

At the September 18 regular meeting, the Gilroy Unified School District Board of Education recognized the Rotary Club of Gilroy for their extraordinary contributions to our school communities through their Trees to Read Under program.

In honor of their 100 years of service, the Gilroy Rotary Club donated 100 trees to six of our schools:
🌳20 trees at Christopher High
🌳20 trees at Gilroy Gilroy High School
🌳20 trees at Ascencion Solorsano Middle School
🌳14 trees at Glen View Elementary
🌳14 trees at El Roble Elementary, and
🌳12 trees at Las Animas Elementary

In addition, as part of this project, the club has also donated hundreds of books to all 14 schools and our five preschool programs. And at the meeting, the Gilroy Rotary Club presented the District with a check for $50,000 to install 40 benches at our school sites!

Thank you to Susan Valenta and Karen Aitken who attended the September 18 meeting to present the check to Superintendent Munshi.

☀️What a day! ☀️
The 1st Gilroy Rotary Golf Tournament is in the books, and we couldn’t have done it without the incredible support of our 19 sponsors 👏
From the first tee to the last putt, the day was filled with community, fun, and a few laughs along the way (yes, we’ll have more sandwiches next year 🥪😉).

📚🌳 Books & Trees for a Brighter Future! 🌳📚

The Rotary Club of Gilroy has teamed up with Gilroy Unified School District to launch Trees to Read Under — a beautiful new initiative that celebrates learning and literacy by donating 390 new books to local school libraries! 📖✨

This program, supported by an Amazon Web Services grant, is all about creating inspiring spaces for students to read, grow, and dream big. 🌟

We’re proud to support our schools and can’t wait to see the positive impact these stories will bring to our students. 💙📘

We hope everyone had a wonderful and safe Fourth of July! On behalf of the Rotary Club of Gilroy, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who visited and supported our first-ever fireworks booth.

Whether you stopped by to say hello, purchased fireworks, or helped spread the word, your support means the world to us. Thanks to your generosity, we’re able to continue building scholarships for youth and young adults, and offer grants to local schools and nonprofits.
