The Gilmer ISD Foundation was honored to award 16 Teacher Initiative Grants during the Gilmer ISD End-of-Year Staff Celebration!

This year, the Foundation awarded a total of $13,544 to support creative, innovative, and impactful projects in classrooms across Gilmer ISD. Some of the funded projects included sensory and flexible seating resources for student support classrooms, interactive classroom technology, hands-on science materials, classroom libraries, and literacy-based learning tools designed to increase student engagement and success. Stay tuned next school year as we take you inside each our grant recipients classroom’s to see these projects in action!

We truly appreciate all of our Gilmer ISD employees and everything they do each and every day for our students and community. It was such a pleasure to provide breakfast tacos to every campus including the bus barn and administration office this week as a small token of our gratitude for their hard work and dedication.

A special thank you to Mary’s Authentic Mexican Restaurant for having the tacos hot, fresh, and ready to go every morning this week. We are so thankful for your support in helping us show appreciation to our amazing staff!

Over the past few months, we’ve had the incredible opportunity to support our local cheerleaders and band. Helping provide resources, encouragement, and a little extra boost so they can continue doing what they love.
