🇺🇸 Korean War Armistice Day – July 27, 1953 🇺🇸

Today we honor the brave men and women who served during the Korean War and remember the signing of the Armistice Agreement on July 27, 1953.

Often called “The Forgotten War,” the sacrifices made in Korea must never be forgotten. More than 36,000 Americans gave their lives, and countless others returned home carrying the visible and invisible scars of service.

The Korean War did not end with a peace treaty—it ended with an armistice. Even today, the Korean Peninsula remains divided, making the service and vigilance of those who answered the call all the more significant.

At VFW Post 6715, we proudly recognize the courage, sacrifice, and dedication of every Korean War veteran.

Your service helped defend freedom. Your legacy continues to inspire future generations.

The Forgotten War… But Not Forgotten.

🇺🇸 Happy Independence Day! 🇺🇸

Today, America celebrates 250 years of freedom.

On July 4, 1776, a bold declaration changed the course of history. The ideals of liberty, self-government, and the God-given rights of every person inspired a new nation—one built on the enduring belief that freedom is worth defending.

For two and a half centuries, generations of Americans have answered that call. From our nation’s founders to the men and women who have served in uniform, countless individuals have sacrificed to preserve the blessings of liberty for those who would follow.

As we celebrate this historic milestone, let us remember that freedom is more than a gift inherited—it is a responsibility entrusted to every generation.

From all of us at VFW Post 6715, we wish our community a safe, joyful, and meaningful Independence Day.

🚁 Honoring the Legacy of Army Aviation 🇺🇸

On July 2, 1926, the U.S. Army Air Corps was established, marking a pivotal step in the evolution of Army Aviation.

From the fabric-covered biplanes of the 1920s to the legendary aircraft of World War II, the Hueys of Vietnam, and today’s Black Hawks and Apaches, Army Aviation has continually evolved to support Soldiers on the ground and defend our nation.

While aircraft have changed dramatically over the past century, one thing has remained constant—the courage, professionalism, and dedication of the Soldiers who fly, maintain, and support them.

VFW Post 6715 proudly recognizes the legacy of Army Aviation and honors all who have served in its ranks.

🇺🇸 National Post-Traumatic Stress Awareness Day 🇺🇸

Today we recognize the many veterans, service members, first responders, and families affected by post-traumatic stress.

The invisible wounds of service can be just as real as the visible ones, but no one should face them alone.

Recovery is possible. Support matters. Strength is found not only in enduring hardships, but also in reaching out and accepting help when it is needed.

VFW Post 6715 stands with all who continue the journey toward healing and encourages anyone struggling to seek support from family, friends, fellow veterans, or professional resources.
