Upshur County Community Men's Shed

We would love to have you join us this Saturday, April 20, from 9am - noon to work on our first community service project. We will be assembling firewood racks for Camp Gilmont. Lumber and hardware are on site and in the yard, we just need your presence and desire to serve. Bring along some tools, i.e. drills/saws, if you have them.

Clean up day at the Shed. We are so grateful for everyone who came out and pitched in!! Truly a blessing seeing Gods hands and feet in service. One step closer to our grande opening.

We are pleased to announce a new ministry opportunity for the First Baptist Church family. In co-operation with FBC we are opening a Men's Shed at the old Gilmer Lumber Company building.

The U.S. Men's Shed Association is a non-profit organization whose goal is to provide a place for men to gather, fellowship, and learn new skills.

It is said that ladies relate face to face while men relate shoulder to shoulder. Working together provides purpose, self esteem, and community. "Shed" membership is open to all who are looking for an opportunity to get involved and learn new skills. (Woodwork, crafts, carpentry, and community work)
