Big Brothers Giving Back There is no fee to enroll in this program and all mentors are volunteers and have been subjected to a background check done thru Gilmer ISD.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to help provide young men every opportunity for a successful future by establishing relationships that develop trust and provide guidance, instruction and correction with love. Big Brothers Giving Back is a mentoring program organized to assist young men from all ethnic backgrounds grow up to become productive members of society as well and become successful in whatever career path they choose.

Big Brothers Giving Back is selling raffle tickets for a chance to win one these prizes : A 65 inch Vizio TV, A Ninja Slushi Machine , $100 dollars cash or $50 dollars cash . The drawing will be held on Saturday August 22nd at the end of Bingo Night at the Gilmer Yamboree Event Center . Tickets are $6 dollars each or 5 tickets for $25 dollars . To purchase tickets you can stop by our Youth Center on 1002 State Hwy 154 west between 3pm and 6pm or call (903)841-8414 to schedule a time . Thank you for all the help!!!!

February of 2026 marked 19 years of helping to guide young men into adulthood . Thank you to the Upshur County Community and surrounding area for supporting our Organization . We look forward to many more years of working together. We appreciate everything

Congratulations to all the winners and thank you for your support. The next event is our 2day Fish Fry on June 26th and 27th . The next Bingo Night will be on Saturday August 22nd at the Yamboree Event Center at 6:30 pm and there will be good prizes and good food. More information coming soon
