High School Scholarship Opportunities!

The countdown is on! Applications for the Most Valuable Student scholarship open this Saturday, August 1.

If you know any incoming high school seniors, encourage them to apply! No relation to the Elks is necessary to win one of these scholarships, which range from $1,000 to $7,500 per year.

MVS scholars gain more than just financial aid—they gain an appreciation of service, a network of like-minded peers, and an for life.

Do you have any used luggage/bags you don't need anymore? The individuals transferring out of the YES House are sometimes in need of these items. Please bring them to the lodge and we'll deliver them for you. We are open Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 5pm-10pm. Thank you to everyone able to help out!

BOWLING FOR THE BRAVE FUNDRAISER.
We didn't tear up the lanes (as you can see), but we sure had a fun time for a great cause. We also learned some new cards games!

Congratulations to former Elks Hoop Shoot National Finalist Ebuka Okorie for becoming a first-round pick!

Last night, Okorie was selected 17th overall in the NBA Draft. But before his name was in lights, he stepped up to the line in the Elks Hoop Shoot. Okorie, sponsored by Dover, N.H., Lodge No. 184, advanced all the way to the National Finals in 2018, where he finished third after a shoot-off that lasted 30 extra free throws.

Since then, Okorie has only continued to unleash his grit. After being named New Hampshire’s Gatorade Player of the Year in high school, Okorie attended Stanford University, where he earned First-Team All-ACC honors, finished seventh nationally in scoring, and shot 83% from the free throw line. Now he'll play for the Detroit Pistons!
