On behalf of Second Chance Ministries, we want to extend our sincere gratitude to Trim Reaper for doing a fantastic job with the tree-trimming services at both the House of Hope and the Honor House of Hope!

Your hard work has made a real difference, and we truly appreciate you taking the time to help improve our properties. Community support like this means so much to our mission and the people we serve.

❤️ Second Chance Ministries Fundraiser Update

Since so many of you have reached out asking about our fundraiser, we wanted to share an update. As Second Chance Ministries moves through a season of leadership transition and new beginnings, we have made the decision not to hold the fundraiser this year.

Change brings new opportunities for growth, and while leadership may evolve, our mission of bringing hope, healing, and second chances to those in need throughout Gillette and Campbell County remains strong.

We also want to sincerely thank Jeannie for her support, dedication, and the role she has played in supporting our mission. We are truly grateful for her and the support she has shown.

We look forward to bringing the fundraiser back next year and making it an annual tradition for years to come. Thank you to our community for your continued kindness, prayers, and support as we move forward together.

Well… it’s official.
Second Chance Ministries’ very first quarterly newsletter is sealed, stamped, and ready to hit the mailbox.

And this is only half of them.

What you’re looking at is hours of folding, stuffing, sealing, and questioning every life choice that led me to this moment. Definitely a chore. 😅

Huge respect (and slightly envious awe) to the people I know who still hand-write hundreds of personal letters to inmates. Y’all are built different.

These particular envelopes are headed to our past and present donors and supporters. The ones who help keep the mission of Second Chance Ministries moving forward. Grateful for every single one of you.

❤️ Building Brotherhood, One Meal at a Time! ❤️

The guys at Second Chance Ministries have decided to start a new tradition: a family meal every Saturday! 🍽️

It’s about more than just sharing food. It’s about building relationships, strengthening our brotherhood, learning responsibility, and creating a sense of family and belonging. Everyone pitches in, from preparing the meal to cleaning up the kitchen afterward!

At Second Chance Ministries, we believe recovery and rebuilding your life are about more than a second chance. It’s about learning to live, laugh, work together, and build a better future surrounded by people who care.

Proud of these guys for taking the initiative and making this happen! One meal, one day, and one step at a time. 🙏❤️

Today was a great reminder of what community is all about. Another nonprofit here in Gillette, Wyoming, From Me to You, reached out to us at Second Chance Ministries because they needed volunteers to help unload a semi full of donated clothes.

We were more than happy to show up and lend a hand! 🙌

This is what I love about our community. Nonprofits helping nonprofits, people helping people, and everyone working together to make a difference.

When we work together, we can accomplish so much more. Community is stronger when we lift each other up! ❤️

Today I was driving a couple of the guys from Second Chance Ministries to the bank in our van when someone approached us and thanked us for everything we do.

He told us that 12 years ago, he took his driving test in that same Second Chance Ministries van.

Today, he has a family, a job, and is a productive member of our community.

That moment really hit me. ❤️

This is why programs like ours matter. It’s not just about a van, a building, or a program. It’s about giving people a second chance, helping them get back on their feet, and giving them the tools and support they need to become productive members of our community.

With the 1% tax up for a vote, I hope people will remember stories like this. That 1% helps nonprofits throughout Campbell County provide opportunities, resources, and support that can change lives for generations.

We aren’t just helping people for today. We’re helping build a stronger Gillette for tomorrow.

Recovery is about more than just putting down drugs and alcohol. It’s about learning how to live a new life, rebuilding our relationship with God, and growing together.

At Second Chance Ministries, we’re creating a place where people can come together, study God’s Word, talk about recovery, share our experiences, and encourage one another.

You don’t have to have everything figured out, and you don’t have to walk this journey alone. ❤️

We also have Life Recovery Bibles and workbooks available for anyone who needs one. You don’t need to worry about having the materials. We want to make sure everyone has an opportunity to participate.

💙 Community Help Needed 💙

Second Chance Ministries is asking for your help in supporting a single father who is working hard to build a better future for his family. He is moving into his own home and is in need of basic household items to help him get started.

We are currently looking for donations of:
• Two beds
• Bedroom furniture
• Living room furniture
• Kitchen table and chairs
• Pots, pans, dishes, silverware, cups, and other kitchen essentials
• Household items that can help turn a house into a home

Every donation, big or small, makes a meaningful difference. Your generosity can help give this father and his family the fresh start they deserve.

If you have any of these items in good, clean condition and would like to donate, please send Second Chance Ministries a message. We can arrange a pickup if needed.

What a great day for Second Chance Ministries! 🙏 Today we had the privilege of helping an elderly couple move furniture and lend a helping hand when they needed it most. After a successful day of serving others, we sat down together for a well-earned dinner and some fellowship.

It’s moments like these that remind us what Second Chance Ministries is all about showing kindness, serving our community, and being there for those who need a little extra help. ❤️
