I don’t have the official total yet of how much money we raised Thursday night, but for me, as strange as it may sound, the money has never been what matters the most to me about our annual fundraiser. Being able to show our community the precious hearts of our people and let you all hear the testimonies they are willing to share simply because this organization has impacted them so greatly, is what has, and will, always matter the most to me about this night. Testimonies that reveal how the love of Jesus can climb over high walls or even break them down completely, how it can heal and restore and make new….how God’s love can make someone who feels so broken, finally feel whole, THAT is what matters about this night. Let the labor that is done in the Lord be seen, and let God be glorified for His hand is all over what we get to do at Second Chance. It’s intense, sometimes it’s very difficult, sometimes it’s very frustrating and painful, but it’s always profound and worthwhile. Always. There are SO many people to thank for helping pull this night together from start to finish. Please know that your generosity and the work of your hands has not gone unnoticed. Your donations, your time, your prayers, your love is so very appreciated. It was a precious night. Stressful as always, but beautiful as always, too.
