The day is here that I have been dreading!!! I will be helping Reggie cross the Rainbow Bridge. His pain isn’t getting better and he can barely walk. He will be whole and running free in just a few hours. No matter how many times I have done this in the past 8 years…..it NEVER gets easier. Reggie will be joining his mate, Lilly, who passed away a couple years ago. Reggie is my youngest grandsons favorite dog and this will break his heart too….even though he understands…

Honesty post:

I want to take this moment to truly thank those who granted the pups and the rescue some amazing gifts….from monetary donations to cleaning supplies, food and toys. It is so appreciated.

If you donated by check, please be patient for it to be deposited. Unfortunately, since Christmas Eve night…I have been dealing with sophisticated criminals who were able to access my bank account and the dbit card and have multiple charges pending from motel stays at the Travel Lodge to phone bills at Verizon and now a credit card payment to Capital One….None of these charges are from the rescue.

I will be going to the bank in person today to close the account and hopefully open a new account. Until this situation is cleared up….Vet visits and deposits will have to wait. I am so very sorry for this and it is beyond disappointing to me that there are some very smart techy people who choose to rip off businesses and people instead of getting an honest job that utilizes those skills.

Myself, Bonnie, Reggie, Odin, Atlas, Bigey, Rex and Jolie wish you all a very HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

******* UPDATE: Bonnie is kind of back to her old self. She was barking and dancing when I got home. She ate her dinner and has gone out to potty several times. She did go back to her spot…..but I think she’s doing better.

This poor girl isn’t feeling well. Last night I came home and Bonnie’s kennel was a mess. She had urinated to the point of absolutely soaking her bed until there was a puddle under her kennel. There was vomit and f***s all over. She did eat last night then climbed into this couch where she has been since. The other dogs have gone and sniffed her then walked away. I see one of the dogs brought her a toy….which she has ignored. She has lifted her head a few times and rearranged herself….but she hasn’t even gotten up to go to the bathroom.

I will see how she does after work today….but Bonnie could sure use some prayers and good juju.

As I take a moment to reconnect with all of you this holiday season, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for your unwavering support throughout the years.

It's been an incredible journey since 2018, with over 275 precious dogs passing through our doors, each leaving an indelible mark on our hearts and home. We've navigated the highs and lows, from the heartbreak to the triumphs, and through it all, we've been blessed with love, lessons, and unforgettable experiences. My home has been a sanctuary for these furry friends, often putting their needs before my own, and I'm proud to provide comfort and care.

Currently, I'm caring for 7 special dogs - 3 temporary fosters, 1 beloved pet, 2 seniors battling health issues, and 1 with profound trust issues. It's a challenge, but one that's filled with purpose. Days like today, when accidents happen and cleaning seems endless, remind me that love knows no bounds.

With funds and supplies dwindling, I want to thank each of you for standing by our side. Your support means the world, especially to adopters who've shown love and compassion to dogs with special needs.

With that being said…if you can find it in your hearts to help continue the care for these special pups, I will include the address of the rescue and links to be able to send tax deductible donations.
