The mission of the 4-H Program is to provide opportunities for personal growth and to encourage positive development of youth, our families, our communities and our world. 4-H is for all kinds of kids – whether you live in the country or the city, Oconto County’s 4-H Program has a project for you. 4-H projects are topics that each member chooses to learn more about during the year. Project leader

s help youth develop in their chosen areas with meetings and project materials. 4-H Programs are open to youth between kindergarten and one year following high school graduation.

4-H is open to everyone regardless of race, color, creed, religion, national origin, s*x, ancestry, s*xual orientation, disability, pregnancy, marital or parental status. 4-H is a family affair where youth and adults get together to learn new things, meet new friends and have fun.

Our October Christy Brook 4H meeting will be held Sunday, October 8th at 4pm at the Gillett Town Hall. If you are interested in running for office, please be in attendance or let someone know. Also, please bring your empty ice cream pails so we can decorate them for the Women’s club “cheer pails”. Hope to see you all there.

Just a reminder that April 30th is the last day to get your projects entered for the fair. If you need help entering them please let me know. It is very difficult to enter them yourself after the registration process. We will be sending information once the fair website is ready for you to go on there and pick your projects.
