This past Friday was our Homecoming game against Algoma. The game was called early due to lightning in the area. Even though the Tigers lost by a score of 74-12. The boys kept trying up until the end of the game.

Despite losing two of our primary running backs to minor injuries. We still had some success with running the ball. Our two touchdowns were on kickoff returns. On defense, we were able to get some good tackles thru out the game.

Thank you to our Gillett High school Pep Band for providing music before and during the game. Great job to our high school choir on their singing of our National Anthem. All of you did a fantastic job 👏.

We know that it's been a tough season for everyone. However, all of you have continued to keep your heads up and give 110% during every game. Keep up that same attitude for your last game, this Friday at Oneida.

Game Summary:

5-Jed H. scored our two touchdowns on kickoff returns. On the second one, he had to scoop the ball up and got thru the attempted tackles and got the touchdown. 20- Mason H.,Brock and Jed added good yards during kickoff returns as well. Jed, Mason, Trevor, Clayton, Brock, and #52 had good runs. As they were able to move the ball down the field.

On defense, Trevor, #52, 99- Elias H., Brock, 4- Brandon S., 32- Lawson K., got in on tackles.

Have a great week of practice this week. We know that you'll be ready to finish the season with a win over Oneida. Go Tigers!

As the 2025 Gillett football season winds down. I, Jenny M., the coaches, players, parents and fans would like to thank a few people.

Thank you to Russ, along with our volunteers that have helped work the concessions stand for all of our home JH & Varsity games. We really do appreciate your effort to make sure that the stand was open during games. We know that you're taking time out of your night to do this and that means a lot to all of us.

We would also like to thank Phil, our game time announcer. We also realize that you're taking valuable time to do a great job with doing the announcing thru out the game. We really do appreciate all that you both do to help make game nights run smoothly.

Thank you!

Our 2025 Gillett Varsity Football Seniors Walk.

Thank you, 5- Jed H; 25- Clayton B. and 99- Elias H., for your years of leadership, dedication and passion for the game. Every season, since each of you started playing. You have all given 110% on the field for every game.

After your last game, next week, at Oneida. It may hit you then, that your high school football playing has come to an end. I hope that all of you can look back at not just this season. But at all of the previous seasons that you've played and to be proud of yourselves. I hope that all of you are proud of all your other teammates and friends that you've had thru out the years and the countless memories that have been made along the way. Because that brotherhood bond that you've formed out on the field, can last a lifetime.

As the rest of your school year continues on and perhaps you'll be getting ready to start a different sport. Always remember that you're still role models for the younger kids and to lead by example.

We wish all of you the best for the rest of the school year.

The Gillett School District is again partnering with the Gillett Chamber of Commerce for Harvest and Homecoming. The Homecoming football game will be a thrilling night filled with school spirit, pride, and tradition. We need all students, staff, and alumni to pack the stands, dressed in school colors, and cheer loudly for our team. Game starts at 7pm. At halftime, the Homecoming Court will be introduced, and alumni are welcomed back to celebrate their lasting connection to the school. With a strong team effort on the field and incredible support from the crowd, it will be a night to remember for the entire school community. Go Tigers!

To our "decorators " for Homecoming: Good job 👏!! I met the JH kids that got our house two nights in a row. They're good kids. They hit the house again last night and I had a chance to go out and talk to them. The only reason I knew something was going on was because I heard something hit the window.

When I went outside, some of them were trying to run away, while a few tried to hide. I called out to them and told them that they weren't in trouble at all. I just wanted to talk to them and give them some tips. I just reminded them to not TP vehicles and to be careful around and flower beds or things like that by the houses. One of the kids told me, we know. No eggs or throwing other stuff at the house. To which I told him he was correct. I also told them to have fun, but be careful and be safe. One of the kids told me that he had saw my first post and pictures from Wednesday night. So he had to come back, lol. 😂😂. I should've told them that they needed to be a little quieter though. 😂😂. Oh well, they're kids having fun.

As far as we, Jon and I, are concerned. We don't mind being TP'd for Homecoming. As long as the kids keep the stuff mostly in the trees and don't damage the house or take things too far. I'm pretty sure that the kids from last night knew that already.

In one of the pictures, you can see that they even took time to tie a bow around the door handle.

Happy Homecoming!! Jenny M.

It's almost Homecoming game day!! We hope that all of our students and staff members have had fun this week with Spirit week!! I've seen some great pictures (on my personal fb page) of staff members dressing up for the theme of the day. It's amazing to see such school spirit. I hope that all of you have great time at the pep rally tomorrow.

We want to see our stands full and our fans getting loud for our players. The boys on the field really get motivated and hyped up when our fans are loud for them! So bring all of that energy to the game tomorrow night!!

Just a reminder that it will also be Senior Night. So of course we'll be announcing our Seniors at the beginning of the game. At the end of the game, if you're able to. Please stay in the stands as we celebrate our Seniors during their Senior walk. Some of our boys have been playing Gillett Tigers football for many years. They either started at the youth level or when they were in junior high. It's been a long journey for them and we're proud of all of them!

Have a great night and we'll see everyone at the game tomorrow . Tiger Pride!!

Happy Homecoming week!! We absolutely love this!! It's been a long time since we've been TP'D. THIS IS GREAT!! Thank you...

Happy Homecoming week!! We absolutely love this!! It's been a long time since we've been TP'D. THIS IS GREAT!! Thank you to our "decorators", whoever you are. Jon and Jenny M.

It's been a long time since we got TP'd for Homecoming week. The last time was our youngest son's Senior year, 2017. I still go to the games for pictures and videos, etc. So for the guys to think of us. That really does mean a lot to us. 😁.
