We’re thrilled to announce that Al is featured in Season 1, Episode 5 of LAKE LORE: The History, Culture, and Ecology of Lake Winnipesaukee — “Sailing on Winnipesaukee: Al Posnack on the history of the Lake Winnipesaukee Sailing Association.” Think local history, community roots, and the tales that make our sailing legacy so rich.

🚨 Big News from the LWSA Family! 🚨

We’re beyond proud to share that Finn, one of LWSA’s longtime sailors and deeply valued instructors, has qualified to compete at the 2025 Sears Cup Triplehanded Championship — a premier national event hosted by US Sailing! 🇺🇸⛵️

Finn has spent over a decade on Lake Winnipesaukee, growing from a young sailor into a leader and mentor for our sailing community. Now he’s taking his passion and skill to the national stage — and we want to help make it happen.

💙 Please consider donating to support Finn’s journey:

Every contribution helps cover travel, lodging, and regatta costs — let’s show Finn that his home team is behind him all the way! 🛶💨

W.A.R. was Wicked Awesome!
We loved hosting this year’s Winnipesaukee Annual Regatta — whether you call it the Wicked Awesome Regatta or the Winnipesaukee Annual Regatta, one thing’s for sure: it was a great day of sailing, learning, and fun on the lake! ⛵️

Huge congratulations to all the competitors, and special shoutouts to the winners! 🏆 Thank you to Sunapee Yacht Club and UNH for making the trip—we were so glad to have you on the water with us! 💙

We are excited to announce that our instructors will be racing in the annual JBT charity regatta again this year! This event is held annually to Honor the Memory of John Bradley Thompson and to support childhood cancer research in partnership with The Cure Starts Now.

We encourage everyone to donate and join us around 4pm at Winnipesaukee Yacht Club on Saturday the 13th of July to enjoy the post-race party featuring live music, free food, a live auction, and award ceremony.

This event has raised over $890K for the Cure Starts Now Foundation and we refuse to give up until we find the Homerun Cure™ for Cancer. With your support, we are hoping to sail across that 1 million dollar line! Every dollar gets us one step closer to that goal, so please support your favorite instructor boat!
