RENT PARTY FOR RENT CONTROL 🪩 FIESTA POR EL CONTROL DE RENTA 💃🏽 FESTA PA KONTROLU DI RENDA🕺🏾. Corporations blocked our ballot and the judges decision tried to erase 157,000+ signatures. But you can't evict a movement. 🔥

On Saturday, August 1st, we're throwing a people's celebration of 30+ years of rent control organizing - honoring the elders who lived it, along with the volunteers, activists, and organizers who fought in the past and are currently building the future of rent control together.

Gallery walk and timeline featuring rent control history and testimonies from elder Roxbury residents🖼️🎙️ Art, games, good food & live music🎪 Political education📚 And as the sun sets… a full-on dance party 🌇🪩. Because joy is how we celebrate our organizing.

FIESTA POR EL CONTROL DE RENTA 🪩FESTA PA KONTROLU DI RENDA 💃🏽 RENT PARTY FOR RENT CONTROL 🕺🏾. Las corporaciones bloquearon nuestra iniciativa popular y la decisión de los jueces intentó borrar más de 157 000 firmas. Pero no se puede desalojar a un movimiento. 🔥

El sábado 1 de agosto, vamos a celebrar una fiesta cultural para conmemorar más de 30 años de lucha por el control de rentas, en homenaje a las personas mayores que lo vivieron, junto con los voluntarios, activistas y organizadores que lucharon en el pasado y que actualmente están construyendo juntos el futuro del control de rentas.

Recorrido por la galería y línea de tiempo con la historia del control de rentas y testimonios de residentes mayores de Roxbury🖼️🎙️ Arte, juegos, buena comida y música en vivo🎪 Educación política📚 Y al ponerse el sol… una fiesta de baile a todo volumen 🌇🪩. Porque la alegría es nuestra forma de celebrar nuestra organización.

Tenants deserve the right to buy their own homes before speculators swoop in.
