🐾💔 Hi, I'm Stubby 💔🐾

I'm 20 months old and 66 pounds, and I've been waiting a long time for someone to see me and decide I'm the one.

Every day I watch other dogs leave for their forever homes. I wag my tail when people walk by, hoping maybe this time they'll stop for me. Maybe this time they'll see past my kennel and notice that I'm trying really hard to be the best boy I can be.

I've worked so hard.

I know sit, down, wait, stay, heel, and come. I'm even taking training classes to learn more and become an even better companion. I love treats and learning new things because I want to make my people proud.

The volunteers tell me I'm handsome. They tell me I'm smart. They tell me I'm a good boy.

But at the end of the day, they're not my family.

I love my people with my whole heart. If you come home after being gone, I'll celebrate like you've been away for years. I'll wag, wiggle, and smile because seeing my favorite person is the best part of my day.

I love to play fetch, run around the yard, and dream about catching squirrels one day. (I haven't succeeded yet, but I'm staying optimistic.) Snow is my absolute favorite thing in the world, and nothing makes me happier than racing through a snowy yard.

I enjoy other dogs and like having friends to play with, but I can be a bit of a bossy guy. Truthfully, I might be happiest as your one and only so I can soak up all the love for myself.

I can be a little sensitive sometimes. Loud noises and sudden movements make me nervous, so I'm hoping for a calm home with adults or older teens who understand that even big dogs can have tender hearts.

What I want most isn't a fenced yard or a basket full of toys.

What I really want is a family.

Someone to come home to.
Someone to sit beside on the couch.
Someone who will look at me and know I'm worth the wait.

I've spent so much of my young life hoping my person is out there.

Maybe you're reading this right now.

Apple Pie had a meet and greet last night. We were very hopeful but it wasn’t a love match. All the volunteers at Project Hope know what a wonderful pup he is! 🐾❤️ Meet Lacey ❤️🐾

Lacey is a sweet 3-year-old Chihuahua mix who recently made the journey all the way from Arkansas in search of something every dog deserves—a family to call her own.

This little girl has been through a lot of change in her life, and while she may be a bit timid when meeting new people, it's easy to see that all she really wants is to feel safe and loved. Lacey prefers to approach people on her own terms and takes a little time to build trust. But once she does, her gentle, affectionate personality begins to shine.

She has the cutest ears and a soft, soulful expression that seems to ask the same question every rescue dog asks: "Will someone choose me?"

Lacey doesn't ask for much. A warm lap, a soft bed, patience, and kindness are all she really needs. She has already discovered that she enjoys car rides and is slowly learning that the world can be a good place filled with people who care.

Every day, Lacey grows a little more confident. Every day, she learns to trust a little more. What she needs now is a family willing to give her the time and love she deserves.

Some dogs demand attention the moment they walk into a room. Lacey is different. She quietly waits, hoping someone will look beyond her shyness and see the loving companion she is waiting to become.

After all she's been through, we'd love nothing more than to see this sweet girl finally find the forever home she's been searching for.

While kittens often find homes quickly, many of our adult cats continue to wait patiently for someone to see just how special they are.

They’re past the wild kitten stage, their personalities are already shining, and they’re ready to become loyal companions, lap warmers, and best triends.

Some are playtul, some are quiet, some are cuddle experts, but all of them are hoping for a family to call their own.

🐾💙 Hi! We're Linus and Loki! 💙🐾

We're 3½-month-old brothers, and we think it's time we introduced ourselves!

Nobody knows exactly what breed we are. Maybe Pittie mixes? Maybe Boxer mixes? Maybe a little bit of both? Whatever we are, we're 100% adorable and 100% puppy.

We're on the smaller side right now, but don't let our size fool you—we have big personalities! We're curious, playful, and always looking for our next adventure. If there's a toy to chase, a stick to investigate, or a friend to play with, we're all in.

Now, we'll be honest... we're still puppies, and we're a little headstrong. Sometimes we think we know exactly what we're doing (even when we don't). We could definitely use some basic training and guidance from a family willing to help us learn the ropes. But we're smart boys and eager to please, especially when treats are involved!

What we do know for sure is that we LOVE people. We think everyone we meet is a potential best friend. Whether you're big, small, young, or old, we're ready to greet you with wagging tails and happy puppy kisses.

We're at that fun age where every day is a new adventure. We're learning about the world, figuring things out, and growing into the wonderful dogs we're meant to be. All we need now is a family to teach us, love us, and help us become the very best versions of ourselves.

We promise to provide plenty of laughs, lots of cuddles, and more puppy antics than you can imagine.

Can you believe these babies are already 8 weeks old? It feels like just yesterday sweet Misty arrived with her tiny puppies, and now they are growing up so fast! ❤️
The M litter is officially entering that adorable stage where they're discovering their personalities, playing with their siblings, and keeping Mama Misty very busy. These little ones are getting bigger every day and have started demanding solid food just like the grown-ups. Sorry, Misty — the milk bar is no longer enough for this hungry crew! 😆
They are spunky, playful, curious, and absolutely adorable. Everywhere they go there's puppy chaos, puppy wrestling, and plenty of puppy kisses. Watching them explore the world together has been such a joy.
And let's not forget their wonderful mama. Misty is an absolute sweetheart. She has done an amazing job raising her babies and is one of the most loving, gentle girls you'll ever meet. She adores attention and has been a devoted mom throughout this journey. 💕
She’s the best. She loves her babies. She tries to play with them a lot. Her new thing is getting a toy and walking it through the entire back room out to the backyard and then bringing it back and showing her babies.❤🐾
The puppies and mama will be taking applications soon, so stay tuned for more updates, photos, and individual introductions. We have a feeling these cuties are going to steal a lot of hearts!

How is this gorgeous pup still waiting for a home?
Meet Griffin,
Griffin is a 5 month-old Australian Shepard/Lab/Pittie mix with the biggest heart and the gentlest little soul. He can be a little shy at first, but once he warms up, he is pure love and snuggles. He’s the kind of puppy who plays hard for a bit and then fully commits to a long nap like it’s his job. He’s also been learning leash manners and is doing great, even if he occasionally gets a little too excited and does the cutest puppy stumbles. He loves other dogs and does great with them.
He has been hanging out with our alumni Yoshi and having a great time!
He is great with kids and cats! He really is a special little guy.

Have you ever thought about volunteering with rescue animals? Now is the perfect time to join our amazing team and make a real difference in the lives of dogs and cats who need love, comfort, and second chances. ❤️
We are currently looking for volunteers to help in several areas, including:
🐶 Puppy walking & playtime
🐾 Day-to-day care of animals
🏡 Foster team support
🎉 Events team
💰 Fundraising help
📋 Adoption team assistance
Volunteering with rescue animals is so much more rewarding than people realize. Yes, there is cleaning, walking, organizing, and helping with everyday tasks… but there are also tail wags, puppy kisses, tiny victories, and the incredible feeling of watching scared or unwanted animals slowly learn to trust and love again.
Sometimes volunteering means helping a shy dog come out of their shell. Sometimes it means taking puppies outside to burn energy and play. Sometimes it means helping at events where families meet their new best friend for the very first time. And sometimes it simply means showing up consistently so these animals know someone cares.
You do not need to be an expert. You just need compassion, reliability, and a willingness to help. Whether you have a few hours a month or more time to give, we would love to have you join our rescue family.
The truth is… rescue work can be exhausting at times, but it is also one of the most fulfilling things you will ever do. Watching an animal go from scared and homeless to loved and thriving is something that stays with you forever. 🥹🐾
