Carrie On Rescue Our mission is to reduce euthanasia of homeless dogs and cats at shelters through rescue and quality adoptions. Carrie On Rescue was founded in 2013.

We are a no-kill pet rescue organization based in Gilbert, AZ. We are all volunteers with no paid employees who dedicate our free time to help save as many animals from death row at the local shelters in the Phoenix area as we can.

Pita is a precious 1-year-old Cattle Dog/Dachshund mix weighing 24 pounds, and she is ready to find the loving family she deserves.

This gentle girl may be a little shy when meeting new people, but beneath that quiet exterior is a heart full of love. With patience, kindness, and a little time, Pita blossoms into a loyal and affectionate companion who will happily stay by your side.

Pita is fully vetted, spayed, current on vaccines, licensed, microchipped, and house-trained. She gets along wonderfully with the other dogs in her foster home and would love to have a canine companion in her forever family. She would also thrive with someone who is home often and can provide the love, reassurance, and companionship she craves.

While she is an indoor dog, she will also need a safely fenced yard to play in with her family.

Meet Meredith – A Gentle Heart Waiting to Trust Again 💕

Meredith is a beautiful 2-year-old Chihuahua who was rescued from the county shelter and given a second chance at life. Meredith has a tender soul and deserves a family who will cherish her forever.

Life has taught Meredith to be cautious. She is very shy when meeting new people and needs patience, understanding, and time to feel safe. But for those willing to move at her pace, Meredith quietly reveals the sweetest, most loving personality. She is gentle, quiet, and content to simply be near the people she trusts.

Meredith is house trained and does wonderfully with other small dogs. She would thrive in a calm household with a securely fenced backyard where she can safely explore and enjoy the sunshine. Because of her sensitive nature, we recommend a home with older, respectful children who understand that trust is earned, not rushed.

This lovely girl is spayed, fully vet checked, current on vaccines, licensed, and microchipped. All she needs now is a family willing to open their hearts and give her the time she needs to blossom.

MEET NICK — your new best friend with a heart as big as his fluffy coat.

At just 11 pounds, Nick is the perfect little companion: a charming Pomeranian–long-haired Chihuahua mix, about 1–2 years old, and already full of love to give. Rescued from the county shelter, Nick has left his past behind and is ready to start his next chapter — one filled with comfort, companionship, and a forever family.

Like his namesake, Nick is loyal, observant, and quietly wonderful. He may be a bit shy when you first meet him, but give him a little time and you’ll see his true personality shine. EMILY is a 2-year-old female Chi/Dachshund mix with a gentle heart and the sweetest little face you’ve ever seen. This adorable girl was rescued from the county shelter and is now safe and thriving in a loving foster home through Carrie On Rescue, where her personality has truly begun to shine.

Emily is a sweet, gentle soul who enjoys the quiet comforts of home. She does wonderfully with the other small dogs in her foster home and would likely enjoy a calm canine companion. While she can be a little shy when first meeting men, she warms up with patience and kindness and soon shows her affectionate side.

This post should start with a warning: Cuteness Overload!
Meet mama Shauna and her five beautiful puppies, 2 boys and 3 girls, all available for adoption.

The puppies were very young when the county shelter put out a plea for them and Shauna, as she was emaciated and not doing well in the shelter environment.

The shelter had Shauna listed as a Kelpie mix. We don't know what breed the dad is. Shauna weighs about 45 pounds.
