There Will be a Vintage Bike Show at the AZ BMX HoF Ceremony, Saturday November 7, 2026. This will not be a “Judged” show. Just beautiful bikes on display. Anyone interested in bring a bike(s), plan on showing up about 4p Martin Auto Museum & Event Center Auto Museaum. More info to come as we get it. Questions ~ contact Glen Buckles or Holly Dunn.
There will also be a ride out Sunday morning. More details to come as well. (Downtown Tempe) 😎

For your consideration…

This Arizona born and raised racer started BMX at PXA, the same track that produced Kyle Fleming and Jason Wharton. This Arizona racer kicked off his national racing in 1980 with an 8 novice win at the Winternationals in Chandler, in 1981 and now expert he followed up with a 9 expert win at the Winternationals in 1982 as a member of the CW Factory Team, as a matter of fact, he TRIPLED!!. Later in the year in Las Vegas, and now racing on the Schwinn Factory Team at the ABA Jag World Championships he took home a 3rd place finish….who is this rider you ask? He is none other than JEFF “SMOKIN” MOTEN. Jeff and Jason Wharton were always racing each other with wins going back and forth on BMX’s biggest stages, Jeff’s national resume’ can stand up to anyone. Jeff would make a fine addition to the Arizona BMX Hall of Fame

In 1978, at the ABA Fall Nationals, there were plenty of quick Arizonies taking home the giant 1st place trophies ... once they survived that tight first turn! Ronnie Ames, Big John Romero, Kelly Cornall, Kyle Fleming and "Big Ed" Timmsen with the W's.

Back in 1978, there were a WHOLE lotta AZ-01 riders taking home a giant 1st place trophy from the ABA Fall Nationals in Oakdale. All of these Champions are up for consideration in the - and one already is in (Kyle Fleming). ?
