Wow, I just found out, I received First Place, the Blue Ribbon Award at The Annual Veterans Creative Writing Contest. The name of my essay was “Thank You for Your Service.” I am elated that the judges understood the true meaning of my story. This is my third year in a row for winning this award. Thank you! It has been a busy spring season. I am grateful for your invites to speak, read, display my books and for authoring chapter 10 on our new anthology, Journey to Authorship. The most requested presentation was “Arizona Wild Territory Days,” at First Families, Maricopa Historical Society and many Retirement Communities.
