The Bulk Trash Pickup is always the second full week of each month. That means that it is this week because the first week of November started on a Tuesday and was not considered a full week. We have received several complaints in the community about bulk trash being placed out early before the week when they pickup. Please note that in the future, the management company will be issuing notices to those that place trash out too soon. Please do not place the bulk trash out earlier than the weekend before the pickup.

For more information about Bulk Trash Pickup, please refer to the town website:

Bulk trash pickup is a monthly service for items that are too large to fit in your trash container. All items collected are taken to the landfill. Click here to determine your bulk schedule.

There are areas on the community streets were there are large cracks in the asphalt. We would like to ask for your input about where these are located so that the Town of Gilbert can come out and address. If you know if any cracks that are greater than 2" in width or any damage to asphalt that needs repair, please report it by calling in to the Town at 480-503-6800. We need a lot of calls in to get them to move. They have delayed for 2 years now to get some of these repairs done and without calls, it will not happen. Please help by making a call and mentioning this. Thanks.

We met with Alex Winter (Landscaper) this week to discuss the front entrance area off of Allen and Pecos. A large tie in has been needed to the water main in order to provide proper irrigation to this area. This will be completed soon and rock will be added to the area where there is dead grass now and the border will be removed. At our October meeting on October 13th, we will presented with some options for the entry design that we would like the community input on.

There are 3 other main areas in the community that have not been watered for the last 6 months. The goal for these areas was to reduce our community water bill. The original plan was to convert these areas to a desert landscape but due to the higher than planned cost of conversion, we will be converting 1 of these areas in September (by the basketball court off of Allen) and we will wait on the other two to phase them in. Until we can afford to convert the other 2 areas (by Bellacere), we will green them up again by over-seeding in early October.

Thanks for your patience. We are working hard to make sure that the changes that are made are done right for the long term and that the community money is spend in a fiscally responsible manner.

The tree trimming has been ongoing this past five weeks of intense work, but we are nearing the finish line.

Only Pecos remains, with some of the largest trees in the community existing along Pecos. We will have these final few trees completed within the next 10 days.

This monsoon season we have had only 1 tree lose, and minimal tree branches damage by the wind. I think this past year of landscape service and current tree trimming is providing the community with some much needed healthy tree canopies and branch structure.

The landscaper recommended and the Board approved to cut off the water to the turf at Pecos and some other areas in the community to start transitioning them from turf to landscaped areas. This will save a lot of water and money and look better in the long run. Thank you for your patience during this process.

Rivulon Development Update - South of Allen Ranch

Under construction currently is LA Fitness, and a 150,000 SF, 3-story office building for Isagenix, an Arizona based health and wellness leader. Construction for the Isagenix building is set for completion in late 2015, which is right around the corner when it comes to construction. Also currently under construction is a 4-story, 125,000 SF speculative office building located east of the Isagenix building on AZ 202, and two 60,000 SF, 2-story office buildings located on Rivulon Boulevard near the corner of Gilbert Rd and AZ 202, with anticipated completion in September 2015.

While most of the construction will take place on site, much like any development there will need to be some work on Gilbert Road and Pecos Road to extend the existing utility services onto the site and relocate the existing overhead electrical and communication services to underground conduits. As part of those improvements, Rivulon will add an additional lane and turn-in lane to the northbound side of Gilbert Road, complete improvements and rework of the existing Gilbert Road medians, and will add new walkways and landscaping along the east side of Gilbert Road. In addition, a traffic signal will be installed in Gilbert Road north of the 202 at the future Rivulon Boulevard to provide access for the development. Work will also take place in early 2015 to construct similar improvements on Pecos Road, between Gilbert and South Allen Avenue.

Construction on Gilbert Road will begin immediately and will be completed by February 2015. Gilbert Road will remain open for travel during this work, however, there may be some lane restrictions to accommodate the construction, primarily to widen the east side (northbound lanes) of Gilbert Road. The developers are working closely with the Town of Gilbert and City of Chandler to maintain traffic flow, complete the work as quickly as possible, and minimize impact on local businesses.
