Local athletes had a big weekend at Star Track, the state track and field meet.

💪🏼 Suri Sardinia of Peninsula won the Class 3A discus competition with a throw of 145 feet, 6 inches. Sardinia finished second in the shot put.

🏃‍♀️ TWO Gig Harbor relays won Class 3A state championships: The 4x100 and the 4x200.

🥈 The Gig Harbor girls placed second in the team competition with 50 points, trailing only Mercer Island's 101 points.
