We were grateful to be part of Olive Crest’s Back 2 School Event at Anchor Church on August 20! More than 300 kids across Pierce County received school supplies, clothing, resources and support to help them start the new school year with confidence.

Homestead Community was there to connect with children and families, share supportive services and be part of a community that truly cares.

Thank you to Olive Crest, Anchor Church and every organization, business and volunteer who helped make this special day possible. Together, we’re helping local kids and families feel supported. Not just for the school year, but throughout the whole year.

We were grateful to join Food 4 All and other local organizations at the Back 2 School Event, serving more than 300 families in the Peninsula School District. Homestead Community provided financial support and shared helpful resources with those who attended.

Kids who enter foster care are surrounded by adults. They have caseworkers, attorneys, teachers and foster parents. There’s one caring adult you may not meet. A CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate).

CASA volunteers receive special training to learn about a child’s life and advocate in court for what’s best for that child. They care about making sure kids are safe, have stability and are in a place they can thrive.
