🇺🇸 Out of thousands of teams that started the competition, the Tidehawks finished 4th in the Nation Overall in the All-Service JLAB Championship!

This is an extraordinary achievement and a testament to the dedication, knowledge, teamwork, and perseverance of our cadets and instructors. To be recognized among the top four JROTC academic teams in the entire United States is something our community can be incredibly proud of.

💚🏅 DON'T JUST TALK ABOUT IT. BE ABOUT IT. GTY. 🏅💚

And that is exactly what they did.

GTY, Greater Than Yourself, is more than a slogan. It is choosing inclusion over exclusion, teamwork over individual recognition, and making sure everyone has a place to belong.

This season, Peninsula Unified Track didn't just talk about those values, they lived them. And this weekend, they brought those values all the way to the WIAA State Track & Field Championships.

🥉 3rd Place in State — Unified 4x100m Relay

🏅 4th Place in State — Unified SMR 800m Relay

⭐ Making Peninsula History
A special congratulations to Ben Griffin and Haydyn Montgomery, who became the first Unified pair in Peninsula history to qualify for the State Track Meet in an individual event, the Unified 100m Dash.

Competing against 40 of the best Unified pairs in Washington, Ben and Haydyn finished an outstanding 16th in the State, placing them in the top half of all competitors.

The medals are amazing. The records are exciting. But what makes this group special is something bigger.

They showed what happens when athletes support one another, celebrate one another, and compete together. They proved that inclusion makes teams stronger and communities better.

Don't just talk about it. Be about it. GTY.

💚🖤 HE WENT THE DISTANCE. 🖤💚

Yesterday, Wyatt entered the WIAA 3A State Championships as the only sophomore in the field and ran the 4th-fastest preliminary time out of 20 athletes to earn a spot in the State Final. Along the way, he became the fastest sophomore in Washington State and moved into #2 all-time in Peninsula High School history in the 800 meters.

Today, he finished what he started.

Competing against the best runners in the state, Wyatt battled his way to a 6th Place finish in the 3A State 800m Final, earning a spot on the podium and proving that he belongs among Washington's elite.

To reach a state final is impressive. To do it as the youngest athlete in the race is remarkable.

The future is bright for this Seahawk, but today we celebrate an incredible accomplishment, a state medal, a historic season, and a sophomore who truly went the distance.

Congratulations, Wyatt! We can't wait to see what's next.

Reaching the state podium is an incredible accomplishment, and doing it with a PR on one of the biggest stages of the season makes it even more special. Your hard work, dedication, and perseverance all season long paid off when it mattered most.

It’s an easy way to earn community service hours, support your school, and show pride for your team or club.
All money raised goes right back to PHS students through boosters, clubs, sports, and school programs.
What to Wear
Wear your team or club polo with black pants. If you don’t have one, a jersey or club T‑shirt works great.
Set‑up volunteers can wear comfortable work clothes.
