UPDATE
My husband, Mr Hutt aka Lawrence has not been well the last 4 weeks. He had an ultrasound first a few weeks ago which lead to a CT Scan a week later and yesterday was our first appointment with oncology.
We are suppose to hear on Monday when they schedule a biopsy.
Here are my notes from yesterday's appointment. The best I could do.
Report from last week's CT Scan:
Chest - COPD NO Lung cancer
Liver good
Gal bladder, pancreas good
Kidney - a 2.1 cm Mass
Thickening in the Assending Colon
Lymph nodes - large tumor 11cm, very big in lower back of abdomen (one causing all the pain) & pelvic. A cancer lymph node in the back near inclusion of right vein. And another large one in front which us the one Lawrence first spotted.
1 tumor @ 1" in front
Another 1" I forget where in pelvic area. They said at least 4 tumors with 2 big ones including one in his kidney.
They figure, at this point, it must have started in the kidney. So kidney cancer but still not sure what type.
Dr said maybe use Immune therapy.
1 Lymph node @ 3.1cm.
Lg mass sitting on pelvic pushing on bladder 8cm.
Front one almost 6cm.
Dr had him do a Doppler ultrasound on both legs. Due to the severe swelling in his right one. No word on that yet.
Options:
If we do not hear about scheduling biopsy by Monday morning we are to call Dr on his private cell by 10am and he will have us go to hospital to be admitted for it as he doesn't want to wait any longer for biopsy.
Biopsy vs Removal...surgery is an option...
If Lymphoma - Chemo
Gave him oxycodone for pain.
