Comments have been made about our open hours. This is the response I have posted to those comments:

Yes, we had to reduce our hours, but we are dedicated to feeding people in need.

During the pandemic, and after, our response to increasing client numbers has been to aggressively streamline our processes for getting food out to our clients.

We serve around 6000 clients per month, including repeat visits (clients may visit once per week). We are able to handle 50+ people picking up for their families in the time we are open, and our client satisfaction is high.

We do one thing—we are a food bank—and we put all our resources, and all our ingenuity to continue being the best food bank we can be.

6000 clients per month shows we are doing very well.

Hey, folks. We don’t know why, but a rumor is going around that Key Peninsula Bischoff Food Bank has closed down.

Not true! We are open and going strong on feeding people in need in our community!

If you hear that rumor, please shut it down. We don’t want people who need food to miss out on what we can offer them.

The food bank will be closed Wednesday (1/22) and Friday (1/24) of this week, due to illness.

This winter, the flu is very bad. Please protect yourselves and take precautions: try to stay away from people who are ill, wash/sanitize your hands often, wear a mask in crowded public areas if you are able.

Effective Immediately:

The Key Peninsula Bischoff Food Bank will be temporarily closed on Mondays and Saturdays. We will post again when we resume our usual schedule.

We are still open Wednesdays 2:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. and Fridays 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Last check in to be served is 4:45 p.m.

We apologize for difficulties this may cause.

Due to construction backups on 302 and KP highway, the food bank will be closed on Wednesday, August 16th. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Our open days have changed:

Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

We are no longer open on Tuesdays; we are open Monday instead.
