Happy Boss’s Day to the one and only Paul Biles! 🎉

To show some appreciation for our leader here at Tejas Camp and Retreat, the team pulled off a little surprise today, mismatched shoes and all! 👟👞

Since Paul is famous for rocking two completely different shoes every single day, we knew the best way to honor him was to step into his style and show up with mismatched kicks of our own.

Thank you, Paul, for leading us with heart, humor, and a style that is entirely your own.

Tejas wouldn’t be the same without you! 🙌✨

Have you registered for Fishes & Throws yet? 🎣🥏

Here’s the deal: this tournament is so much bigger than a day of friendly competition. It’s about raising funds that directly transform lives through our Corners of the Field ministry! 🌾✨

When you pull together a team, every dollar you raise provides camp scholarships, hosts Foster Family Getaways, and funds peaceful stays at the Sabbath House for families and leaders in need of spiritual renewal. You are setting the stage for Jesus to work!

And to thank you for rallying your community, we’ve added awesome prize milestones for your group as you raise support:

🏆 $1,500 Raised: Unlock Level 1 Gear Rewards (like high-quality tackle boxes or disc golf cooler bags!)

🏆 $3,000 Raised: Unlock Level 2 Gear Rewards (rangefinders, premium gear & more!)

🏆 $4,500 Raised: Unlock top-tier gear like underwater fishing cameras, kayaks, and high-end outdoor equipment!

Your activity is the catalyst, but your team’s fundraising multiplies the impact, just like the miracle of the fishes and loaves.

Get your crew together, sign up today, and let’s make a difference together!

When we asked people signing up for Serve Day what skills they could bring to the table, we got some pretty honest answers.

Some people are handy. Others are… so-so.

And then there are those whose special skills include:
✅️ Whining and complaining
✅️ Being tall
✅️ Singing and making paper airplanes
✅️ Building a wooden box and doing Bulgarian squats with 70lbs on each side

Honestly? We appreciate the honesty. 😂

Here's the thing: you don't have to be especially handy to make a difference at Tejas. Whether you're great with tools, good at following directions, tall enough to hang Christmas lights without a ladder, or just willing to show up and help, there's a place for you.

Join us for Serve Day on November 21 as part of Friends of Tejas Weekend! We'll spend the morning working together to care for the place that has meant so much to so many of us.

Come with your skills, whatever they may be. We'll put you to work!

And if your best skill is whining and complaining, we may even have a job for you. 😉

Hope to see you there!
