We're "building" something pretty special in Giddings, Texas.

A place and program where teens, young adults, and our community can get help with college, careers, jobs, money, life skills, and more! 𝗔 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁, 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄.

Over here checking in on myself... lots of work still being done... lol. This undertaking might as well be called "Building Patience!" 🤪

🚧 Little by little, Building 979 is getting there!

🚻 New ADA-accessible bathroom nearing completion
🏗️ Making final plans for spray foam insulation
⚡ Then, final electrical upgrades
❄️ And then... wait for it... HVAC installation!

There is still a lot to do, but every completed project gets us one step closer to opening these doors and putting this building to work for our community.

‼️ We have a new security measure in place at the building.

📢 Introducing... our part-time attack corgi security dog (might attack if you have treats)...
his name is "Dexter the Destroyer" (will destroy any given cardboard box).

Don't test him.
He's a Pembroke Welsh Corgi and he WILL herd you, if necessary.

He's available for hire and responds well to... well, anything edible.

Here he is... watching for pedestrians and butterflies (and soon, will be barking at nothing).

Not sure what he's capable of when the train comes... to be continued.
