Baseball Camp with Savannah Bananas star KJ Jackson.

If you didn't know, KJ is the son of Brian Jackson, the middle school counselor at Gibsonburg!!!

Camp will be held by Kyle (KJ) Jackson. KJ is a Bowling Green High School graduate. He also played 4 years of Baseball at Kent State University, graduating in 2024.

WOW….WOW….WOW…….A huge round of applause to all the kids and parents who sold Cookie Dough for the Rec Department fundraiser!!! The 1st year of this fundraiser went GREAT!!!
Overall, we sold 1421 2lb tubs of cookie dough. That equals almost 91,000 cookies!!!!!! The total sales were $28,420!!!! The net profit for the Rec Department is….

$12,379.54

That is a HUGE win for the Rec Dept. and it will go a long way towards helping pay for all the upgrades completed and planned. I am so proud of all our kids & parents for the work they did to make this happen. We have already committed to doing this fundraiser again next year!!!

Don’t forget the #1 top seller receives a PS5!!!! The race for #1 was close. Only $100 separated #1 from #5. The top seller for 2024 is…..Amelia Palmerton, with $880 sold. Congratulations to Amelia, enjoy your prize, you earned it!!!

It’s COOKIE DOUGH time!!!

This spring the participants from BASEBALL, SOFTBALL, and SOCCER will be selling COOKIE DOUGH as a fundraiser.

Each participant has a goal to sell a minimum of 5 tubs of COOKIE DOUGH. Just 5 Tubs of COOKIE DOUGH sold by each of our 250+ young athletes could mean over $10,000 profit to the Rec Dept.

The participant who sells the most tubs of COOKIE DOUGH will win a PS5!!!!

Each 2 lb tub of COOKIE DOUGH sells for $20.

Money must be collected at the time of sale. Cash or Check only. Checks should be made out to the Village of Gibsonburg.

As teams start to get together, order forms will be passed out to the participants.

The COOKIE DOUGH Fundraiser will run until April 19th.

Proceeds from this fundraiser will help pay for field improvements, upgrades, and equipment for the Youth Rec Dept programs.

In 2024 we are investing approximately $50,000 in these programs through several projects. Donations, Sponsorships, and Fundraisers are a vital part of making these successful.

Spring Projects
- Williams Park #3 is getting a new playing surface installed.
- Williams Park #5 is getting a light infield rehab done.
- Batting cages at Williams Park are getting concrete and turf installed.
- A new Soccer complex is being built behind Town Hall (fields and parking lot)

Fall Projects
- Williams Park #5 is getting a new playing surface installed.
- Williams Park #4 is getting a new playing surface installed.
