Every year, ACCAC receives more than 500 referrals for children experiencing abuse and neglect in Adams County, but our current facility can only serve one child and family at a time.

That's why we're building the Brighter Tomorrows Center. This renovated, 5,630-square-foot space will triple our capacity, allowing us to serve multiple children and families simultaneously, all under one roof.

Together, we've raised $1.68 million, but we still need the community's help to make this vision a reality. Every gift brings us closer to opening our doors in 2028. Donate today: https://kidsagaincac.org/brightertomorrows/

Our Executive Director, Elida Murray, and Board Member Cathy Harner sat down with Community Media of South Central PA on Open House to discuss the Brighter Tomorrows Center.

The new center will support our mission by offering expanded mental health support, prevention education, group work, and training for the professionals serving Adams County kids.

We're on our way toward raising the funds needed, but we need your help to get there. Learn more and donate today: https://kidsagaincac.org/brightertomorrows/

A heartfelt thank you to Conewago Chapter No. 532, Order of the Eastern Star of New Oxford for the calming boxes you gifted us. (The 2025-2026 OES Kid to Kid Project)đź’–

Each personalized container is filled with comforting sensory items and activities designed to help regulate big emotions and provide moments of calm. These grounding tools offer gentle support during times of stress, anxiety, or overwhelming feelings.

These boxes will bring comfort, reassurance, and a sense of peace when it is truly needed most. We are deeply grateful for the way you support children and families in Adams County.

Every child—including LGBTQ+ children and youth—deserves to feel safe, be heard, and know that support is always available to them. No exceptions.

If you are a caregiver of an LGBTQ+ child or teen, you play an important role in their well-being. Showing up for them, listening without judgment, and creating a space where they feel they can be themselves.

Stay tuned this month as we celebrate and explore our LGBTQ+ caregiver resources: https://kidsagaincac.org/lgbtq-caregiver-resources/

As we honor 20 years of supporting child victims and their families in Adams County, we reflect on both the progress made and the work still ahead.

In 2025, ACCAC supported 244 children—many of whom experienced multiple forms of abuse or trauma, including physical, sexual, and emotional abuse, or exposure to violence.

While we empower children to recognize warning signs, prevention starts with adults. It’s our responsibility to support and create safe environments where children can grow without fear.

Your support helps make brighter tomorrows possible. Donate to expanding the Brighter Tomorrows Center today to increase our capacity to serve: https://kidsagaincac.org/brightertomorrows/
