Appalachian Flock of Turkeys for Tomorrow

07/26/2026

This weekend, Appalachian TFT had the privilege of attending the 4-H Market Sale at the South Mountain Fair. We are proud to have purchased the Grand Champion Turkey!

Supporting our local youth and the agricultural community is something we truly value. The hard work, dedication, and responsibility these young exhibitors put into raising quality livestock is inspiring, and we’re honored to play a small part in encouraging the next generation of agriculture.

Congratulations to the Abigail Stallsmith on an outstanding achievement, and thank you to everyone who helps make events like the South Mountain Fair a success. We’re grateful for the opportunity to invest in our community and support the future of agriculture that also benefits our wild turkeys ! 🦃🌾💙

Spot a turkey, submit your sightings!

If you spot wild turkeys this summer, report your sighting NOW through August 31, using the Game Commission’s wild turkey sighting survey: pgcforms.pa.gov/TurkeySightingSurvey/

Your submitted observations help state biologists monitor turkey reproduction and population trends. Rest assured, sighting locations are kept confidential and used only for conservation purposes.

Thank you for supporting Pennsylvania’s wild turkey conservation!
