What an awesome weekend we had at Lee’s Headquarters in Gettysburg! It was an honor to portray the men of the 55th NC. We had all kinds of scenarios going all weekend: dispatches and messages coming in to the headquarters on July 2nd and July 3rd, a forward aid station for wounded soldiers, guards posted, and cooking demos at lunch time just to name a few. A huge thank you to the American Battlefield Trust for allowing us to spend the weekend interacting with the public on hallowed ground. Please check out a few pictures from the event. To the colors!

Happy Wednesday everyone!
Just a reminder we will be participating in a living history event at Lee's Headquarters in Gettysburg this upcoming weekend (10/4 & 10/5). Both days will have historical intrepretations running through mid afternoon. Lee's Headquarters is not on National Park land and any government shutdown will have no impact on the event. Stop by and see us as we recreate scenarios present in that part of town on July 2nd and 3rd 1863. The weather will be beautiful! Come out and see us!

Members of the regiment recently participated in an immersive event held in northern Virginia! They had the opportunity to participate in authentic picket duty rotations for 36 hours! What an awesome experience and definitely one that gave great insight into the life of a soldier. The picket duty rotations went like this; four hours on duty and four hours off. When not on duty each company could get some rest, cook, gather firewood, etc. It was a truly incredible experience and was one not often seen within the hobby, especially for 36 hours straight! A huge thank you to The Liberty Rifles for allowing our members to participate!

Talk about a bucket list weekend! Last week members of the regiment were able to participate in an incredible living history at Fort Macon State Park. We portrayed Co. G. of the 45th Massachusetts and were trained on and were able to fire some the large seacoast guns present within the fort. An absolutely unreal experience and definitely one we will never forget. Thank you to the park staff and The Broken Toys Mess for having us. Also a shout out to the 6th NCST Company I (Cedar Fork Rifles) for helping to fill the ranks! Next time you are in the Atlantic Beach area, be sure to check out Fort Macon! Attached are some pictures from the event. Enjoy!

Wow! Simply incredible. Thank you once again American Battlefield Trust!
