In November 2021, Megan underwent surgery for MALS after years of struggling to eat, maintain weight, and find answers 🩵
The surgery gave her something she had been fighting for for so long: relief.
For the first time in years, she was able to eat again. At her request, her first meal was Robert’s and Gina Marie Cookies. 🍪 She gained strength, put on weight, and began enjoying parts of life that many people take for granted.
That year brought milestones her family will always treasure. Megan graduated high school, spent time with friends, and was able to experience a more normal chapter of life.
The relief didn't last forever, but the memories from that year will. It was a reminder of Megan's resilience and of how much joy she found in every victory, no matter how hard-won 💪🏻

We are officially just 45 days away - only a month and a half from this year's Miracles for Megan Memorial Golf Fundraiser on July 24th! 📅
Reminder that early registration for golfers is only open through July 1st - sign up early for a deal and to secure your spot! ⏳
To encourage even more community involvement, we have considerably reduced the cost of hole sponsorships this year. It's our hope that this allows more families and friends to be part of the day while continuing to support a cause so close to our hearts.
Sponsorship opportunities are now open on the website, as well as the option to sign up for golf and dinner. To sign up for dinner only, scroll down past Sponsorships and choose the Add-Ons category. 🍴
This year, we will have an in-person auction with generous donations from local businesses and will accept cash/check or Venmo.

Many people knew Megan’s smile, her kindness, and her incredible strength. Fewer knew just how hard she fought behind the scenes 🩵
At just 14 years old, Megan began passing out multiple times a day at school. What followed was years of searching for answers, countless appointments, surgeries, feeding tubes, hospital stays, and complex diagnoses including POTS, Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (hEDS), MALS, and SMAS.
There were seasons when Megan couldn’t eat, struggled to tolerate nutrition, and became too weak to attend school in person. Yet somehow, she continued to advocate for herself, research treatments, and hold onto hope — even when the path forward felt impossible.
There were victories, too. A surgery that gave her time to eat again. Graduating high school. Going away to college. Zach Bryan concerts. 🎸 Meeting people she admired. The joy of her dogs, Archie and Mack. And countless moments where Megan chose light, even in the darkest circumstances.
Megan’s journey was one of resilience, courage, and compassion. By sharing pieces of her story, we hope to honor her, raise awareness for these often misunderstood conditions, and continue making a difference in her name through this year’s Miracles for Megan Memorial Golf Outing!

Many people have asked about places where they can visit and remember Megan 🩷
Megan’s gravestone is in Lannon at Sunnyside Cemetery, where family and friends can spend time reflecting, remembering, and honoring her life.
She is also memorialized at the St. Agnes Healing Garden in Fond du Lac with a commemorative brick. The Healing Garden is a peaceful space dedicated to hope, healing, and remembrance — values that feel especially fitting for Megan's journey.
Whether through a visit, a memory, or a simple moment of reflection, thank you for continuing to keep Megan close in your hearts 🌷

Did you know? Some of the funds from our golf fundraiser go towards the Megan Pederson Memorial Scholarship, which has been part of the Germantown Community Scholarship Fund for 2 years now. 🎓 Last year, someone anonymously donated $2,000 to a scholarship in Megan’s memory, and the Megan Pederson Memorial Scholarship was born. To fund this, we use a portion of the proceeds from the golf fundraiser.
This year, the scholarship was gifted to Taylor Yegge, whom Molly babysat for. In 2025, Alexis Stanke was awarded the scholarship.

We are two months away from our golf outing on July 24th! 📅
What began as a way to uplift Megan has grown into something deeply meaningful for our family — a chance to celebrate her life while supporting a cause that became very personal to us.
Megan faced many serious and complex medical challenges, including Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, and watching her navigate those struggles opened our eyes to the need for greater awareness, research, and support for those living with EDS. 🩵
Each year, this event helps us carry Megan’s light forward by supporting research that could one day lead to earlier diagnoses, better treatments, and more answers for families walking a similar path.
Whether you choose to golf, join us for dinner, sponsor a hole, or make a donation, every form of support helps make a difference. This year, we also lowered the cost of hole sponsorships to make it easier for more families and groups of friends to participate together.
Most of all, this event is about community, remembrance, and creating something positive in Megan’s honor. We are incredibly grateful for the support that continues to surround our family and this mission.

Megan lived with many severe and complex health challenges, including Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. 🩵 Through her journey, our family came to understand just how urgently more awareness, research, and support are needed for those living with this condition. In honor of Megan’s life and the joy she spread so naturally, we are raising funds to support Ehlers-Danlos research. Our hope is that, through these efforts, others may one day have better answers, treatments, and hope for the future. We hope you will consider supporting this effort on July 24th through a donation, sponsorship, participating in golf, or joining us for dinner. We’re excited to share that this year, we’ve reduced our hole sponsorship fee to make it easier for more families to participate — whether sponsoring individually or teaming up with other families to sponsor a hole together. Your support helps us turn our loss into something meaningful — keeping Megan’s spirit of kindness alive while helping bring hope to others facing similar challenges.
