Spartans baseball 10u tryouts start tonight at 6. Field 3. Please arrive earlier to handle paperwork.

Also due to demand we will be having two 9u teams this season. Jarred Erisman and Krista Alldred will be our head coaches. We are attaching details for 9u Erisman and more details for Alldred will be out before tryouts. Here is more information for the Spartan Baseball Club.

We ask anyone planning to attend tryouts to show up at least 15 minutes early to fill out paperwork.

Teams will be formed based on coach's choice. You must attend at least one tryout date to be considered.

Depending on the number of interested athletes, especially in the 9u age group there may be multiple teams in an age group.

Also there is no guarantee that trying out will result in team placement.

We want to grow the baseball community as strong as we can, however we want balanced teams to accommodate balanced playing time and opportunities to compete at a higher level.

The 8u and 9u flyers will be out in the next day or two.

VVBASE is proudly presenting the Spartan Baseball Club.

For the 2026/2027 season, VVBASE will add a new chapter to our select baseball program. This will be a step up in competition and commitment from a regular VVBase Baseball rec team. This will allow a focused approach to learning the game over a longer time window than a usual season. Each team will be placed in a higher competitive league and will enter a few tournaments.

Spartan baseball club is less worried about "travel ball" and more focused on raising the fundamentals and skills of our own athletes.

This will be a full community approach to the development and advancement of baseball.

As tryout dates get closer more specific details will be released.

We are proud of this community and we are proud to be Spartans.

Opening day was a success!

Parade info:

Assembly may begin at 9 am at the GCS (formerly VVIS parking lot). (Your team's coach can decide when players should meet) Each team is allowed ONE truck or truck w trailer. You must enter through the Arnold St entrance BEHIND the school. The Comstock entrance will be closed and only used to exit once the parade begins.

Players can be dropped off at either entrance but no additional cars will be allowed to pull into the lot from either side. It is important that cars do NOT attempt to turn around in the parking lot. *We are closing off Comstock and not letting any additional vehicles into the assembly area.

The parade will begin at 10am.
The parade route will go from Comstock to Main Street to Market St. to Astoria to the park.

Once completed teams will then gather for the national anthem and 2026 first pitch.

Afterwards games will start at the concourse.

Our concession stand will be rolling and the park will be full.

We look forward to a beautiful day at the park.
