Note from the Alexa Family:
Dear WDFOA members,
On behalf of the Alexa family, we would like to express our sincere appreciation to you for your kind words and expressions of sympathy following Martyโs sudden passing. So many of you reached out to encourage him when he was ill and battling his cancer, and he truly was inspired to fight as best he could to beat it. After his passing, your online tributes and recognition of his 43 years of service to the WDFOA as an official, a teacher, and a mentor filled us with gratitude as we heard of the positive impact he had made and the deep respect he had earned. Please know that he was honored to work side by side with you at hundreds of games over the years, and we can assure you that he enjoyed every single minute of his โon the fieldโ career. Thank you too for the beautiful flowers, the memorial plaque, and the many members who joined with us over the weekend to remember Marty and to celebrate his life. We are deeply grateful for your kindness, your generosity, and your support at this most difficult time.
Wishing you a successful 2026 football season.
Sincerely,
Kerry Alexa and family
