End of school year party and recognition! President Isaac recognized VPE Kennedy’s outstanding leadership in the club.

Hello everyone,

This was a great last and final meeting before our Meet in the Park next week. We had 2 wonderful speeches that were both full of humor and meaningful lessons. Isaac demonstrated the main reasons why bullies come to be. Something we can learn from this is that not all people who are bullies are considered bad people; many out there will change over time based on the environment around them. We next had a humorous and informational speech from Kennedy titled, "Help! My friend is an NPC." We not only learned the differences between NPC's (non-playable characters) and MC (main character), but also the similarities they share. We also ended strong with Table Topics led by Nayvaa, with "Would you rather" questions and personal preferences.

Good afternoon, Toastmasters! I hope you all are having a wonderful Wednesday! On Sunday we had a wonderful meeting in which we had Kyle give us a speech about his experience kickboxing. I would like to shout out Olivia for stepping up to do a "hot pocket" speech on the spot, in which she talks to us about her "Project Based Learning" at her school. Great job, you two! Our Table Topics master for the day was Grace, who gave us some very interesting questions that sparked some debate among our students, which we love to see!

Overall, we had an excellent meeting, and I hope to see you all next week!

Hello everyone,

Last Sunday we had another great meeting. We started with a speech from Isaac about the impacts of social media and how there are both pros and cons that come with it. We then had a very insightful speech from Mr. Jason about his experience in managing people as a production supervisor. Next me moved on to our table topics session, but this time we did our special version where each person asks and answers a question. Lastly we ended with great evaluations from Kennedy and Mrs. Anna. While we did start a little late and also end a little late yesterday, it was still a very successful meeting overall. Hope to see you all next week!

Hello everyone,

I hope everyone had a wonderful fall break! Yesterday we had yet another wonderful meeting. We had two speeches. The first speech was from Imara about her love and interest in Hamilton. She talked about how she was introduced to Hamilton and how she looked into the deeper themes of it. Next up was Navyaa who gave a speech on why we should visit the Smoky Mountains. It was a great speech where she also overcame her fear of speaking! Both these speeches were very great and I look forward to future speeches from you both! Next up, we had a table topics session led by Isaac. He gave us wonderful questions as always and made sure that everyone got a chance to participate. Lastly, we had our evaluations from me and Katie. The evaluations provided great insight to the performance of our speakers and also brought up some tips for their future speeches. Overall, I’d say that our meeting went great. I hope to see you all next week!

Yesterday, we had yet another wonderful meeting. We started off with an icebreaker speech from Missy about the clubs she is involved in at school, her extracurricular activities, and her academics. We then had another icebreaker speech from Katie, who shared her hobbies, school life, and some fun memories. We concluded our speeches with Yuki's icebreaker speech. She discussed the activities she is involved in, her interests in art and writing, and some things she enjoys. We then moved on to our table topics session with Navya, who gave really great and fun questions for all of us. Lastly, we had some very descriptive and insightful evaluations from Mr. Jason, Kennedy, and Grace for our speakers. They provided valuable advice and insightful evaluations of the speeches. Overall, the meeting was very successful. I hope to see you all next week!
