1910 Gerald School Restoration

10/01/2026

This beautiful brick schoolhouse was probably near the current city of Gerald(MO). The only information on the back of the photo is that a student by the name of Julius Schuster attended this school. Any information you have will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

On June 8th and 9th, 2026 five more piers were installed in the 1910 school to stabilize the foundation. This made a total of 15 piers that have been installed for the west room at a cost of approx. $40,000. Thanks to generous donations we were able to get that accomplished. Next is to finish the rest of the buildings' piers. That will be 25 more piers at a cost of $55,000. It is a large project but a necessary one to preserve a part of Gerald's history and an exceptional building. Thank you for your support.
