We are Winyah Bay STRONG!!!!!!! Today, Tim Hood - Williamsburg County Emergency Manager, Loren Wallace - Georgetown County Emergency Manager and Yolanda McCray President & CEO of Black River United Way and Chair of the Winyah Bay Community Organizations Active in Disaster, came together to provide a Table Top Exercise for Mrs. Tracey Pressley and CMD’s Pantry and Resource Hub!!!!

This is how we get prepared for disasters!

Mastery Monday 💙

Happy Monday from BRUW! Today at the Sampit Pet Vet Office, a special package of animals was delivered. Some have boo-boos, some don’t feel well, and some just need extra hugs. 🫂

Our little veterinarians are using their imaginations, problem-solving skills, and kindness to help care for their furry patients. Through dramatic play, children explore real-world roles while building communication, creativity, and social skills.

Thankful Thursday ♥️

The month of June will be filled with fun, engaging centers and hands-on learning experiences! 📬💙 At The Sunshine Post Office, the children will learn about sorting mail, delivering packages, and how to look fly in their blue uniforms.

On the other side of Georgetown, Bible Way Child Care Center will be exploring the great outdoors 🌲⛺ The children will be setting up camp very soon, so stay tuned for all the exciting adventures ahead! Learning through play helps build creativity, teamwork, and kindergarten readiness skills while making memories along the way. ✨

May is Talk, Sing and Point month for The Basics Waccamaw 🧡 At Sampit Child Care, the children are enjoying outdoor play where the ground is LAVA ❤️‍🔥 Turning outside time into an adventure keeps children engaged, active, and learning through play!

Outside time isn’t always just fun — it can become a “teachable moment” too. The children learned that lava is HOT and can burn you if you touch it, helping build understanding, imagination, and communication skills while they play together. 🌋☀️
