La Esperanza Community Center Community Services La Esperanza was founded by Carmelite Sister of Charity and community members. La Esperanza opened its doors on November 11, 1996.

Designated 501(c) 3 non-profit community service organization. La Esperanza provides services to the newly arrived Latino community of Sussex County. Helping them obtain employment, housing, meet educational needs, self sufficiency, citizenship, etc. Funded through state grants, private contributions, and donations. The following are programs within the organization; Immigration Services, Family S

ervices, Victim Services, Education, and Pre & Post Natal Support. The sun in our logo represents a new beginning; the grasshopper is a biblical symbol that represents the triumph of the people in a new land.
