April 12 4-H meeting 2026
On Sunday April 12, The Brown County Young Achievers held a 4-H meeting at the WeeCare center. During this meeting we discussed how much we made at the bakesale.A special thanks to all who donated money and volunteers who baked.
We had project presentations by Shay and Raelynn. Shay told the club about her meat chicken project, and Raelynn spoke about her fancy chicken project. Both answered any questions the club had.
For community service, as a group we are donating gently used or new stuffed animals to the Georgetown Police Department. So the officers can give them to children when they interact with them. Because snuggle buddies can make a bad experience a little less scary for a child.
In this meeting the group enjoyed a game of “This or That” led by our Recreation officer, Hunter. It’s a fun game that we get to learn everyone’s favorite things, from food to animals.
Athena shared an inspirational quote, “Be yourself, everyone else is taken.”
The Cloverbuds learned about health (one of the 4 Hs) and made healthy plates, paper plates covered with pictures of healthy food, they all did a great job

Brown County Young Achievers 4-H Club Now Accepting New Members

The Brown County Young Achievers 4-H Club is excited to announce that we are now welcoming new members for the 2026 4-H year. Families interested in learning more about the 4-H program are invited to attend our upcoming meeting on Sunday, March 15 at 4:30 PM.
The club meets at Wee Care Learning Center in Georgetown, located on State Route 125 across from McDonald’s. This meeting is a great opportunity for youth and families to ask questions, learn about the many opportunities available in 4-H, and see how they can get involved.
The Brown County Young Achievers 4-H Club welcomes youth with all types of project interests. 4-H offers more than 200 different projects for members to explore, ranging from livestock and small animals to science, crafts, leadership, and community service.
Youth can begin their 4-H journey as Cloverbud members. Cloverbuds are children who are age 5 and enrolled in Kindergarten through age 8 and in 3rd grade (as of January 1 of the current year). Cloverbud members participate in non-competitive activities that allow them to explore a variety of fun, hands-on learning experiences.
Youth who are age 8 and in 3rd grade through age 18 (as of January 1 of the current year) participate as traditional 4-H members. These members select one or more projects to explore throughout the year while participating in club meetings, county activities, and learning opportunities that help build life skills, leadership, and confidence.
The enrollment deadline for the 2026 4-H program is April 1.
If you would like to learn more about joining the Brown County Young Achievers 4-H Club or the 4-H program, please call 937-378-6716 or send me a private message for more information. New members and families are always welcome, and the club looks forward to helping youth discover new interests, build friendships, and grow through the 4-H experience

The Brown County Young Achievers held a meeting on July 13, 2025. We talked about who had attended camp and how Cloverbud day camp will be on July 16, 2025. We discussed what we were going to do for our community service. We voted to collect canned food to donate to The Helping Hands food pantry. Everyone in our club must do a community service to be a member in good standing.

Some members gave projects presentations— great job to Austin, Hayden, Addison, Nate, Zeb and Kaylee! We also had an officer presentation by Hannah, our historian

The Brown County Young Achievers would like to thank everyone who was able to come to the bake sale at Kibler Lumber on May 17th. Because of your support we were able to raise funds for our club that will help with our future expenses.

On June 8th our club was able to meet at The Community Lanes bowling alley for a meeting and fun time of bowling. We started things off with a quick business meeting to update each other about future 4H events, and then we were able to enjoy the friendly competition of bowling. Thank you to Community Lanes for allowing our club to meet and enjoy a day of bowling. Events like this remind us that 4H is not just about projects, but it is also about friendships, fun times, and growing together as a club.
