The Georgetown Theatre Workshop is a non-profit amateur theatre group. A charter was signed on May 9, 1975. The G.T.W. produces 3 plays a year. welcomes newcomers.

Brief History
The Georgetown Theatre Workshop is a non-profit amateur theatre group, founded by the above members in 1974. The mission of the Georgetown Theatre Workshop i

s to introduce people to live stage performance. Programs: Presents plays, holds seminars, and presents educational programs for the public. The public is welcome to attend the play productions, for a nominal charge. In the past, performances have included a Children’s Theatre Workshop and a Dinner Theatre. Each year, the G.T.W. funds a scholarship for a local high school senior majoring in theatre. Portions of our proceeds have benefitted the Peabody Library of Georgetown and the Gazette Santa Fund. What a dreamy first read-through! We’re beyond thrilled to be underway with rehearsals for our fall production, Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, directed by Matthew Lundergan.

Swipe to move us into our new storage unit!

That’s right, GTW just acquired some brand new storage, and it’s right down the street from our performance space! This is a game changer, as it will allow us to keep bigger items like scenic flats in our inventory and make load-ins that much easier. And isn’t it just dreamy when everything has a place? 😍

Announcing Auditions for A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM by William Shakespeare, directed by Matthew Lundergan.

WHEN: Sunday August 2nd and Monday August 3rd, with potential callbacks TBA.
WHERE: First Congregational Church - 7 Andover Street in Georgetown, MA 01833.

Rehearsals: Rehearsals will take place three nights/week at the First Congregational Church in Georgetown, MA and at the Byfield Community Arts center in Byfield, MA. They will begin in early August.
Tech Week: November 1st-5th
Performance dates: November 6th-15th

Jasmine Caamaño (Rosamund Plinth) -- This is Jasmine's acting debut with Georgetown Theatre Workshop. She recently co-produced this season's Poe Radio Show and assisted with the foley effects on stage. Some other productions: Marion: or the True Tale of Robin Hood and Eurydice (Theatre@First); Henry VI Part I, A Midsummer Night's Dream, and Romeo and Juliet at Billy Shakes Free Shakespeare); The Tempest and Twelfth Night at Shakespeare Stage.

🌟 CAST SPOTLIGHT 🌟 Zac Lambert (John Pace Seavering) is making his debut with Georgetown Theatre Workshop. He recently performed as Watson Pritchard in Quannapowitt Players production of House On Haunted Hill. Other notable roles include Mortimer in Arsenic and Old Lace (Scrapbox Theatre) and Lenny in Rumors (North Shore Players).
