Williamson Audubon Meeting Change

New Speaker Announced!

Grab your binoculars and flock to the library! While John Hart Asher has had to fly the coop for our May meeting due to a work conflict, we’ve got an incredible plan for our next gathering. We’re working hard to get John back on the calendar as soon as possible!

In the meantime, we are thrilled to host Jim Hailey and friends for a special presentation on the coastal birding trip they just took from May 1st–3rd. The group witnessed a legendary "Fallout"—a rare and breathtaking phenomenon that every bird lover needs to see to believe.

Whether you're a seasoned birder or just curious about what makes a "Fallout" so spectacular, come nest with us for an evening of amazing stories and photos. You won't want to miss this rare bird's-eye view of a truly unique weekend!

Urban Green Space Conservation Through Bird Banding

We are thrilled to welcome Amber Burnette as our guest speaker. Since relocating to Central Texas three years ago, Amber has been deeply involved in local avian research, including an exciting Purple Martin banding project. When she isn't working for the City of Georgetown, she is out in the field contributing to vital citizen science. She will be sharing her expertise on how bird banding serves as a powerful tool for protecting our urban green spaces.

Calling all bird lovers—it’s time to flock together! Our upcoming quarterly meeting promises an evening of inspiration, discovery, and community as we soar into 2026. Join

Quarterly WAG Meeting

Join us as we will have a special guest as our featured speaker--Greg Miller. Greg is a seasoned birder with over 50 years of experience. He has explored all 50 US states and parts of Canada, always seeking new bird species. In 1998, he participated in a "Big Year" challenge, traveling extensively to see as many birds as possible in one year.

His impressive achievement of over 700 species was documented in the book "The Big Year," which later became a popular movie. Miller even served as a consultant for the film. He remains active in the birding community and shares his knowledge and passion through his blog.
