🚨 Our Shelves Are Running Bare — We Need Your Help! 🚨

The shelves at Helping Hands are looking emptier than we’ve seen in a long time, and we feed a lot of kids who aren’t eating at school over the summer- we urgently need food donations to keep our Mobile Pantry Van stocked and serving families in our community.

Every week, the Mobile Pantry Van delivers food to individuals and families who rely on this support. Right now, our inventory is running low, and we need your help to continue meeting the growing need.

📦 Most-needed items include:

* Canned vegetables
* Canned fruit
* Soup
* Pasta and pasta sauce
* Peanut butter
* Cereal/ oatmeal
* Rice
* Shelf-stable meals
* Canned meat (tuna, chicken, etc.)

No donation is too small. Every can, box, and bag helps put food on the table for someone in need.

Donations can be dropped off at Helping Hands of Geoegetown, 1100 Thousand Oaks Blvd 78628. We are in the office 10:00-2:00 Monday- Thursday, or you can just drop things in the blue barrels out front!

Thank you so much to Butterflies of Williamson County for grilling burgers for 80, bringing beautiful clothes to share, and hanging out with our neighbors in need of a good meal. You guys killed it- especially for your first time out!! We so appreciate you, and all of our groups who adopt a Sunday Dinner!

At Helping Hands of Georgetown, we are deeply grateful to be able to show up in moments of crisis — to meet human needs, offer hope, and hopefully be a bright spot on dark days. That’s what community is all about. ❤️

Early this morning at 4:30 a.m., residents of Shady River and Goodwater RV Parks were placed under a mandatory evacuation order due to flooding. Thankfully, everyone was able to get out safely, but many families and individuals are now facing a difficult and uncertain day. We’ve rarely seen people so grateful to just receive a sack lunch and a little love.

In addition, many of our unhoused neighbors who stay along the river lost essential belongings in the flooding, including tarps, sleeping bags, and backpacks.

We are asking our community to help us respond quickly TODAY if possible. Donations can be dropped off at Helping Hands of Georgetown, 1100 Thousand Oaks Blvd. Please place items in the blue collection barrels outside the building.

• Socks and basic essentials
