At Helping Hands of Georgetown, we are deeply grateful to be able to show up in moments of crisis — to meet human needs, offer hope, and hopefully be a bright spot on dark days. That’s what community is all about. ❤️

Early this morning at 4:30 a.m., residents of Shady River and Goodwater RV Parks were placed under a mandatory evacuation order due to flooding. Thankfully, everyone was able to get out safely, but many families and individuals are now facing a difficult and uncertain day. We’ve rarely seen people so grateful to just receive a sack lunch and a little love.

In addition, many of our unhoused neighbors who stay along the river lost essential belongings in the flooding, including tarps, sleeping bags, and backpacks.

We are asking our community to help us respond quickly TODAY if possible. Donations can be dropped off at Helping Hands of Georgetown, 1100 Thousand Oaks Blvd. Please place items in the blue collection barrels outside the building.

• Tarps
• Sleeping bags
• Backpacks
• Socks and basic essentials

Every time our community faces hardship, Georgetown responds with incredible generosity and compassion. Thank you for always showing up for your neighbors. Let’s continue surrounding our community with love and support today. ❤️

Huge THANK YOU to the Williamson County Employee Food Drive for donating an incredible 257.2 pounds of food to help support local families in our community! 💙🥫

Every can, box, and bag makes a real difference for neighbors facing hard times, and this generous donation will help stock shelves and put meals on tables across our community.

We are so grateful for employees who continue to show up with compassion, generosity, and community spirit. Thank you for helping us care for our neighbors together! 🙌

Every day at Helping Hands of Georgetown, we get to witness kindness in action - neighbors helping neighbors, volunteers giving their time with full hearts, donors making sure families have food on the table, and people reminding each other that nobody has to struggle alone.

It’s more than a pantry. More than a program. It’s people choosing compassion over indifference, connection over isolation, and hope over hardship.

To every person who has donated, volunteered, shared a post, packed a box, driven a delivery, or simply encouraged someone in need - thank you. You are part of something beautiful.

Helping Hands exists because this community believes caring for one another still matters. And honestly? Georgetown shows that every single day.

📦 We Need Your Help! 📦

Helping Hands of Georgetown is looking for donations of plastic storage totes to help support our daily operations. These totes make a huge difference in how efficiently we can pick up, sort, organize, and deliver food to families in our community.

As our outreach continues to grow, having sturdy storage containers helps us keep everything moving smoothly and safely for both our volunteers and the neighbors we serve.

27 gallon totes are the perfect size for most of what we do, and Costco has them on sale this week for $6.99, which is insane. If you have been looking for wlan easy way to help and would be willing to donate, we would be incredibly grateful! Every tote helps us better serve Georgetown families in need. ❤️
