Meet our two handsome Cajun brothers, Creole and Bayou. They arrived with plenty of Southern charm, a little mischief, and unfortunately a tendency for their FHV-1 (feline herpesvirus) symptoms to flare up when life gets stressful.

The shelter is a busy place—lots of noises, smells, and strange people. While these boys handle it as best they can, the stress keeps triggering their sniffles and watery eyes.

What they need isn't complicated: a calm, loving home where they can relax, settle in, and know that life isn't a kennel in a busy place.

These 3 month old brothers are sweet, bonded, and looking for someone willing to trade a little extra understanding for a whole lot of love. FHV-1 is common in cats and often becomes much easier to manage once they're out of a stressful shelter environment.

So if your home is more "peaceful porch swing" than "Mardi Gras at midnight," these Cajun boys would love to be your roommates.

Creole and Bayou have been neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, flea preventative and tested negative for FIV and FeLV.

Come meet them and help these boys leave the shelter stress behind. Their adoption fees have been sponsored.

ADOPTED: Sparky

Sparky never met a stranger, never missed an opportunity to supervise absolutely everything, and never hesitated to insert himself into the center of attention in any way imaginable.

One look, a few purrs, and perhaps some highly sophisticated kitten mind control later, Sparky had sealed the deal.

We're thrilled for Sparky and his new human, who clearly recognized greatness when she saw it but was a little camera shy for a sealed with a photo moment.

ADOPTED: Susan and Lucy

One brave woman walked into the shelter and said, "You know what my life needs? Twice the chaos."

She then adopted two kittens.

Some people adopt one kitten and ease into cat ownership like reasonable adults.

Not this woman.

She marched in, looked at a pair of sister kittens, and essentially said, "I'd like to lose control of my household all at once, please."

The sisters have now been adopted together, ensuring they can continue their lifelong mission of committing petty crimes as a team.

The kittens are thrilled. They get to stay together forever, continue their conspiracy against household order, and enjoy unlimited access to a human who voluntarily signed up to be outnumbered.

These tiny agents of fun and games are looking for new homes to spend their days committing crimes against houseplants, and testing the structural integrity of every object they can reach.

Each kitten comes preloaded with unreasonable confidence, questionable decision-making skills, and the firm belief that your personal space is a myth invented by dogs.

They're looking for forever homes where they can continue their important work of knocking things off tables and demanding snacks as if they've been paying the mortgage.

Adopt today. They're running out of siblings to annoy and have started making plans.

Adopted: Pleakley

Our fun-loving orange kitten with approximately three brain cells (all dedicated to mischief, zoomies, and snacks), has been adopted by a red-headed kitten lover who clearly appreciates the special brand of chaos that comes with orange cats.

Adopted: Little John

Some people drive four hours for a vacation. Some drive four hours for a concert. And then there are the wonderful humans who drove four hours to meet Little John.

Little John, for those who haven't had the pleasure, is a tiny white fluffball with the attention span of a goldfish, and enough charm to convince complete strangers to rearrange their entire day just to bring him home.

When his adopters arrived, he did what any respectable kitten would do: looked impossibly adorable, accepted their admiration as his birthright, and sealed the deal without lifting a paw.

We are so grateful to this amazing family for making the journey to give Little John the loving home he deserves. It never stops amazing us how far people will go for the right animal—and how animals somehow know exactly who they're meant to find.

Little John is now off to begin his next great adventure, where we assume he'll spend his days ruling the household, supervising every activity, and shedding white fur onto every dark-colored item he can locate.
