📚✨ Did you know that many of the books your child receives through Dolly Parton's Imagination Library come with FREE companion Book Guides?

Created by the Ohio Department of Children and Youth, these fun and easy-to-use guides help families make the most of every story that arrives in your mailbox. Each guide is packed with:

📖 Conversation starters🎨 Creative activities🧩 Interactive learning opportunities💡 Ideas to extend the story beyond the final page

These resources help bring books to life and create meaningful moments for children and their families while building a lifelong love of reading.

To find Book Guides for your child's Imagination Library books, visit OhioImaginationLibrary.org and click on "Book Guides."

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library of Ohio mails kids one free book each month until his or her 5th birthday. Any child in Ohio between birth and age 5 is eligible for the program, which is available at no cost to families.

A huge thank you to all of the wonderful community members who came out to grab a hamburger or hot dog with us today!

Thanks to your generosity, the Brown County Affiliate of the Dolly Parton Imagination Library raised $1,223.75. These funds will help cover the cost of shipping books to children throughout Brown County and will provide nearly one month of shipping expenses for our program.

We would also like to extend a special thank you to Kibler Lumber for graciously hosting us at their store today. Their support, along with the support of our community, helps make events like this possible.

Your contributions help put high-quality books into the hands of local children and foster a lifelong love of reading. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who donated, volunteered, and stopped by to support our cause.

Don’t forget — we’re grilling up your lunch today at Kibler Lumber!

Stop by between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. for a delicious grilled hamburger or hot dog, served up by the ladies of the Brown County Affiliate of Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.

Lunch is on us — we simply ask for a donation, with 100% of proceeds going toward putting books into the hands of children throughout Brown County.

Happy 80th birthday to the incredible Dolly Parton ✨

Dolly's life includes many significant achievements, including her beloved Dolly Parton's Imagination Library. Her program, which started over 30 years ago, is now impacting millions of families across the world, and hundreds of thousands of children here in Ohio. We're so grateful for her vision as she continues to share her love of reading with children and families!

⭐New year, new book list ⭐

The book list for Dolly Parton's Imagination Library is updated every year, and includes some classic titles, along with many new titles!

The Blue Ribbon Book Selection Committee is a specially selected panel of early childhood literacy experts, who are responsible for reviewing potential titles for inclusion in Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.

Each book mailed is age-appropriate for the child receiving the gift. Inspiration and imagination are the overarching themes of books in our collection.

$25 from each plate sold is returned to our local Imagination Library right here in Brown County to help cover the cost of shipping books directly to children in our community.
