Join Commissioner Tashe’ Allen, Youth Services, and Parks & Recreation for the Youth Gun Violence Awareness Walk on Sat., June 13, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at Gerald Matthews Sports Complex, located at 1935 McDonough Rd., Hampton, GA 30228. There will be a brief warm-up at 9:45 a.m. preceding the walk. Let's collaborate to raise awareness and stop gun violence in our community. Stay after for a community gathering with entertainment and resources that can save lives!

In-Person Registration begins at 9:00 a.m. on the day of the event. Bring a poster to honor and remember a life taken too soon. Wear orange to help bring awareness!

As Palmetto Giving Day 2026 comes to a close, Optimism Preventive Services Inc. would like to express heartfelt thanks to all donors for their generous support and contributions. Your ongoing commitment has allowed Optimism to carry out its mission.

This year's funds will support key initiatives including Gun Violence Prevention Awareness Weekend, Girls' summer leadership retreat, Summer Boys2Men Night Out, and OPS Young Leaders Scholarship.
