This bridge crosses over the tracks and leads right onto the NRVT at Merwin Meadows Park.

This section of trail is often utilized by the Wilton High School track teams, it continues north by the area of the Dana Dam take-down, and then hits the north end of the loop in Allen’s Meadows at Olmstead Hill Road.

There are beautiful views of the Norwalk River from this section and the remaining sections meander through old woodlands and wetlands with some boardwalks.

Big news for trail lovers and our Western CT neighbors! 🚲🌳

The Western Connecticut Regional Trail is a 50-mile greenway that will connect the Norwalk River Valley Trail with the Still River Greenway and New Milford River Trail, creating a continuous, multi-use trail from Norwalk to New Milford and toward the New York State line.

Our latest blog explains:
- How WestCOG and partners secured major federal and state grants
- What this means for green space, health, and local businesses
- How YOU can help by volunteering and supporting NRVT
