Eagerly awaiting UiL meeting today. Hope they will continue to allow live streaming video of Friday football.

The Oklahoma Senate Education Committee just passed a bill with unanimous support. It is the understanding that bill will now go to the whole senate and house and if it passes both it will become law on July 1, 2021.

We are continuing to work with our state representative here in Texas and will provide updates as we have them.

We need to gather input from the general public... if they experienced bad quality issues that they PAID a subscription for, not happy that their local broadcast team could not cover their own school during football playoffs, etc.

Please have that input emailed to [email protected], comment below, or send us a private message.

BREAKING NEWS: TAHSB spoke with a local state representative again today who will begin to draft a bill to give our local school districts a voice when it comes to their coverage.

We are planning a zoom webinar within the next week to help provide the initial framework for this bill. We need your input and voice! Please make sure to fill out the form below so we have your contact information:

Thank you for your tremendous response this afternoon and evening. We have received numerous phone calls, messages and support. This includes not only broadcasters but school administrators, superintendents, athletic directors and coaches.

Please share this association with other fellow broadcasters and let's work towards making positive change happen for our communities and schools.

Together, we have a voice and an opportunity to do great things.

Earlier today, the Huntsville Hornets broadcast crew was denied a video broadcast for the playoffs because the NFHS decided they want to do the game (and charge for it). This crew has covered the team all season long. Now, the community is being denied their own hometown broadcast because of agreements in place with the UiL and other organizations. Schools are funded by tax payers and our kids deserve better than this.

We believe that the SCHOOL DISTRCITS should be the ones making the decision on who broadcasts their games, not the UiL. We will work hard to make change happen.

This, among many other reasons, is why the TAHSB was formed. Let's work together and make change happen!
