This past week 6 of our local chapter had the opportunity to attend our GOC 20th anniversary/international rally in San Antonio Texas. Guess what it’s hotter here than there lol. While it looks like a ton of fun which fun was had we spent two days going into different meetings/breakout sessions aimed at developing our roles with this organization. Key note speakers and Q/A sessions were set at helping us as a member and interacting with children in crisis. Our organization is 100 volunteer and yes it does ask a lot of us at times but this is small to the impacts we can make of a child’s life. I encourage everyone if you’ve ever had the thought of serving more than yourself and the inclination to step up and help stop the abuse to reach out and let’s strike that conversation.
